Hy-Vee's weirdest business decision yet?

I wonder if Kroger views HyVee as a counterbalance of possible anti-trust concerns like they do with Giant Eagle in C-Bus.
That's wild to me. I shopped at Vons for years. So much that I was friendly with the staff.
I have never been in a Jewel that doesn't seem like a stereotypical Soviet shopping experience. No one and I mean no one is happy at a Jewel.
Like that Dahl's in DSM that was on Grand (I believe) except with fewer meth faces

Agree on the Habit - best fast food that I've ever had. At least when they were still independent. I hope that they don't screw up the concept now that they are owned by Yum! Brands.

Wonder if that was always the plan, or they realized they screwed up when they eliminated those 400 or jobs earlier. I think they screwed up e cause if they were going to outsource these jobs, they would have begun posting these jobs in India much sooner.
Just seems like short sided incompetent leadership.
Unless you have expert business analysts that can translate their needs intelligently to Indian developers, it can be a disaster.
With IT services you get what you pay for, just ask Mercy hospital.
I think it’s just their usual incompetence. Pretty sure you can get around the clock IT workers in Iowa if you want to compensate them, just like they have around the clock people in distribution.
100% this. Lots of experience with this. IT folks in India will do EXACTLY what the business requirements say. They won't question it or point out any obvious dumb decision. They will just do it.
And then charge a change request to do it the right way.
Reminds me of sitting in a meeting for Nationwide where we heard how the huge population of India meant more people who were smarter than we were to choose from. Went over well.
Flat out dumb dumb dumb. Trust me when I say this you have to go through 99% BS when hiring overseas IT just to find 1 that can fit the mold of what you are needing/wanting. Nothing against the workers it's just a different way of doing things for them compared to how we do things here.
