Agreed.

Hell, even with the buyout... once you consider the dropoff in ticket sales you're likely to see if he stays, that dramatically cuts into the difference between keeping him and firing him.

No. Do the math on lost seat revenue. JP thinks Mac can still get it done. JP think Mac is the guy for ISU. JP doenst want to have his guy yet again be the wrong guy.

How many of these are we going to have? I am not against a new coach but for crying out loud if money wasn't an issue we could get anyone we wanted.

I was just going to say that. If money was no object, Greg McDermott wouldn't have been hired in the first place.

Not to mention the lost concessions, lost apparel, lost tv exposure, lost admissions....and maybe just as importantly, lost fans...lots of kids growing up with a horrible impression of ISU does no translate into them being future adult fans. And, I'm sure donations are a good bit lower too.

GMAC is a good Coach Pollard knows it and is giving him 2 more years to get it done. He is very close 12 losses within 5 points in big twelve games during last possesions. Lucca screwed us and our 3 point shooting things will get better.

We lost those very close games due to his coaching. ***** is in over his head.

He's gone either way, money or not. Probably this year, after next year for sure. By next year the buyout will be down to $2.0 mil., attendance will be about 4,000 and U of I will also be looking for a coach. Why wait?

So you're saying we were just a 5 point play away from tying a few games late? Those are all practically wins then. That changes everything. Let's get him extended through 2025. Two years isn't going to do it. Everybody knows it takes a good 10-12 years to truly build a Big 12 program.

I know McD supporters are sick of seeing him bashed but this Chip Diller "Remain calm. All is well" bit isn't any more warranted. Nobody wants to see a good guy like McD fired but he's not getting the job done and there's a lot more evidence to support his failure than there is his future success. If he gets two more years we're going to be down to the players' parent and grandparents in the stands.

I think this poll shows what should be done after this season.

I think this poll shows that people really don't have any grasp on reality.

Yes, go ahead and follow up with His record etc. etc. I can't dispute that. I can dispute that getting rid of him may not be the best idea for MBB.

I have a pretty firm grasp on 3 wins in conference.

For the record I kind of agree with you snowcraig. It's tough to look at this season and the other 3 seasons and say Greg can get it done. Money obviously plays a role in everything and is more than likely the reason Greg is getting more time at Iowa State.

Of course, but to make a blanket poll like this and say it's pretty clear what should be done at the end of the season I don't think is a firm grasp in reality.

There are way more many factors weighing into the decision than just Money.

I'm on the fence. And I don't envy Pollard in this decision. It's way above my pay grade but I can look at it and say just because we aren't winning, doesn't mean that firing our coach is the best answer.

That is just sad.
