Going forward I will not give a single ounce of f*ck until they act like they do. There are too many other more important things to worry about.
So did ISUIowa definitely earned that NIT bid tonight
can't wait for people to hate on this, but at the moment ISU has an NIT resume.
Best win is against Miami, 2nd best win is Indiana St.?
Losses - vs. Gonzaga (not damaging), vs. Cincinnati (not horrible), @ Iowa (horrible)
The best teams in the conference are teams style wise ISU struggle against (Kansas, West Virginia, Baylor). As of now ISU has a bubble type resume but the lack of potential quality wins on the schedule is a little worrying.
I think if things ended today, ISU would be left out.
I think we miss Georges. Just a hunch.
at this point i don't care if his defense is non existent but play Young 20 mins a game. Holden should be holding a towel on the bench. Babb starts. Naz comes in for no longer than 3 mins at a time to limit the his liability. Monte needs to be just Monte and not force it.
Remember when you were adamant that the better team always wins?Iowa is flat out garbage, giving up about 90 a game, and we can't score against them. Just an embarrassment.
Iowa will go on to have a horrible year, mark it down. ISU can be pretty good if they want to, we'll see if they want it or not? Tonight they obviously didn't want it or didn't care. Looked like both.
ok -I'll make this the postgame thread. Please confine your thoughts to this thread.
There are some good things about this team, but just as many bad. We absolutely need to have intensity and execution- we win by outplaying other teams. Frankly, Iowa looked bigger, more talented, and better coached. Some of that is on Prohm, but we had lofty expectations for a group consisting of a couple solid players and a handful of over-achievers.
Guys like NWB, Jackson, and Young need more time. Prohm may need to bench guys once and awhile. JFC
Sadly this is spot on. Maybe add that Prohm is not going to gain us many advantages too.Very concerning how bad we are right now. That was a bad Iowa team that just took us to the woodshed.
Monte is just a game manager, and we are seeing that being exposed this year. Naz isn't the same. Matt is good but he is better as a role player. Burton is inconsistent. Holden isn't a Big 12 player, Bowie is just slightly better. D-Jack isn't as good as advertised. Babb and Young have potential and are younger bright spots on the team, but aren't ready to carry the load.
Very disappointed in our stand around offense, it's horrible.
And cocky. He says before the game "we’re trying to go out there and beat them badly.” Who does that? Funny, I can't imagine a Villanova player saying that...without Niang, Morris is above average
Remember when you were adamant that the better team always wins?
That feeling that the coach has no idea what he's doing and is completely in over his head? Yes, I get that feeling.Does anyone else have the same feeling they used to have after every McDermott game when he coached here
