I'm guessing the receivers were both surprised by the good throw...caught them off guard. The two best throws Petras has made the last 2 weeks and they bounced right off Bruce and LaPorta's chest.

But SP has the **** factor. He is, statistically, the worst-rated QB on ESPN's QBR:

I don't know if this was updated to include week 2 or not, though
Their running backs are pretty subpar as well, and usually they have some decent guys back there.Yes. And the worst group of receivers, too. One had a dozen targets and one catch.
Brian F won’t talk to anyone.Watching the postgame, at least Petras is manning up and admitting he did awful. He’s taking the blame and not coming up with excuses.

Are any of their missing recievers 8 feet tall though? If they aren't, does it matter? He doesn't look good but how many WR's has iowa been missing the last two weeks?
Ha, Dwan Mathis was committed to ISU way back when. Flipped to Sparty, then flipped to Georgia I believe. He's had quite the journey.UPDATE:
ESPN stats updated overnight to include both of the 1st two games. He is now the 2nd worst in D-1, not the worst!!!

Me too. Was worried about our three man front and they did hold Will most of the day. Thought they could maybe just run on us but our LBs and corners helped a lot.Their oline surprised me, no matter how bad their skill players are they usually have a good line that helps cover that up.
