just speaking the truth man

Your personal truth, which translates into opinion. It is your opinion, not a truth. No one knows what the truth is.

I believe ISU has the superior football staff, but I don't present that as a truth; it is a belief.

Be prepared for Iowa fans to spout a lot of crap this week. We're averaging 46 points, but allowing 22 points a game. They've yet to allow a touchdown this season, and they're averaging 44 points a game. However, they're doing this while also keeping defense numbers low. No easy turnovers that bail them out of tough situations.

I know it's early, but I thought this about Kansas last year. "Oh, it's early, they're making a feast out of the cupcakes, they'll be exposed in the conference games."

This is the perfect opportunity to take them by surprise... they seem to lose very frequently when they're full of confidence, but they will be taking our offense very seriously. We have an offense, they have an offense. They have a defense, and right now, we don't. SDSU was a great showing until the last moments, but Kent State exposed some very troubling weaknesses. I fully expect next weekend to be a close game, but I'm erring on the side of a "loss". They'll be looking for payback for last year, and it's in Iowa City. If we can snag a win, AWESOME. I can't wait!
it doesnt matter who they played or who we played... doesnt matter what either teams record is. why? because it's always a good game!! we could be a winless team and they could be a top 10 team and it would still be a good game.

We played an OK game. Our defense needs some help against the run, and our offense needs to learn to run the ball a little more effectively. Good win. Next week will be a tough game against the Hawks no matter how you swing it.

thats a good point! yes it is my opinion... i'm not badmouthing our coaching staff at all. i hate the hawks but they are very well coached. so are we, but we got a new staff and alot of young players. all the young playes we have is a good thing for the future, but you all saw some of the mistakes made. iowa does not make those mistakes. chizik will make damn sure this does not happen next week so it's all good

I like where we are at after 2 games this year. We could use some more rushing, but as a whole, I think we look alot better than last year.
That being said, I am hoping that we can split the next two games. I think winning them both will be a stretch, because our youth will likely show on the road. (even more so than in the 1st two games.)
The game next weekend should be a good one. I think both teams have reason to be confident coming in, but neither team is perfect either.

this reminds me of 2005. We had an ugly win against Illinois state and Iowa absolutely obliterates ball state. Then we come in and man handle Iowa.Today ugly win against kent state, Iowa destroys fiu. Looks like 05. Beat the Hoks

Wish we could have stopped their run better, but a win is a win and this team did beat us last year.

Hopefully we can learn some more from this game, cut down on errors and improve our run game. Bates had some amazing runs and not sure who will start against Iowa?

Special Teams are totally different from a year ago.

2-0 baby....
