Possibly earned PT. One late game dash with a huge hole does not really mean as much to me I guess. He does do a great job on special teams. I love seeing him on the field.

Don't forget that Jarvis was the leading returning rusher in the nation from last year. The kid is really good.

Right. Good coaches don't make decisions simply based on what a guy does in garbage time. Harris has speed, our fasted running back. But there's a reason he's our #4 guy.

what i meant by that was... since scales was horrible... bass wasnt much better. i dont think that long run means he SHOULD play, but i would have liked to see him in there. maybe he could have had better luck

22-

I would say our offense looked mediocre. The passing game had some great plays, but nothing stellar considering some of the teams we're going to be playing. The rushing game was down-right lackluster. We have to have AROB back next week in order to have a complete game. Bass is still rusty and Scales missed quite a few openings. The line wasn't good by any stretch, but they should be able to make some changes to fix those issues.

Run blocking is pathetic. I don't think Robinson would have made a difference.

Interior D-Line was getting gashed too.
I think our RB's made the O-line look bad. I wouldn't blame it on the line at all. Scales is just plain bad and JJ couldn't get anything going due to lack of PT.

I agree, the offense wasn't "bad." The running game through the running backs was BAD. Throwing game was solid. I feel like we could have dropped back and thrown it every down and been successful, which, in the long run will be much more beneficial to our success. Scales, great kid...not great running back. Arnaud through some GREAT passes, Bates through one awesome one too.

i didnt say they were good.. i said we should be worried about them because honestly, i dont think we are that great. we have serious potential and we will be awesome by the end of the year, but you cannot say that we don't have a few bugs to work out? no love for iowa, i hate them... i am from a hawkeye family and my brother is a hawkeye "nerd." he knows every played they ever had and every stat etc... i get alot of hakeye crap shoved in my face so i know how good they are. i'm not saying they can beat us, im just saying if we make mistakes that we have been then it's gonna be a long day... but right now i could care less... we won tonight and are off to a 2-0 start!!!!! soon to be 3-0 and will be unbeaten when conf play begins!

Geez, enough already!!! You talk up EIU and then get called out and act all ISU. Try not to be so obvious..better yet, try not to post any more.

I have to say, I really thought we ran the QB scramble a few too many times, scratch that, far too many times. It works great with Bates, but Arnaud just couldn't get much going and I think there were some times when we had some openings that we should have exploited instead of the keeper.

Scales was not horrible, played like his normal self. Great punt block. Bass was shaking off some cobwebs, but looked better toward the end and finished some runs nicely.

There certainly was not a lot of running room tonight. They stacked us up close to the line of scrimmage and blitzed a lot.

I didn't see any holes for them to run through. They may not have broken many tackles, but it would be nice to see a clear hole for them to run through once in a while.

thats the main reason i question our play calling. those plays will not work against solid teams
