Jarvis had 1669 yards rushing alone last year.

FYI... this is fun how we dissect the reason why our running game sucks.

All I know is the scoreboard said 44 and 48 points the last two weeks. We've made plays. Special teams looks pretty good.

As a fan after 3-9 I'm very happy with EVERYTHING so far.

thats the main reason i question our play calling. those plays will not work against solid teams

There's also something to be said for not opening up the playbook for the rest of our opponents to see/study this early in the season if we don't have to.

Now if we don't start turning to some more of the pages as the season goes on (ala the McCarney era), then there should be cause for concern. But as for right now, I'm ok with not showing all of our cards this early in the season.

How much do we really expect our coaches to open up the play-book pre-big 12?

ding ding ding

We've racked up over 90 pts using a very conservative offense. We can throw it a lot more.

With ARob being dinged up, if you told me before the game we rest him and win by 20, I'm thrilled.

I would expect us to win the battle of strength in the trenches, on both sides of the ball, against a middle-of-the-pack MAC team. But we didn't.
But we won the game. My god people, I am glad that we are pointing out what we weren't good at tonight but after last season I am thrilled we have a 0 in the loss column.

Right. We have a Super Bowl to win next week and can't be going Full Monty this early in the season! :biglaugh:

You know what the biggest thing about next week is?

We win, and we're halfway to a ******* bowl berth. That's what I'm looking to.

We're just getting started with Year #2 of a rebuilding and completely change of attitude project. We've won our first two games by a combined score of 47 points.

Last year we won our first two games by a combined score of -20.

Errr, I guess we lost those.

We are making progress moving forward. I'll take it, knowing we can continue to get better instead of whining because we're not yet perfect/good in all phases.

Thats why I don't mind playing cream puffs. Its not like basketball where they look at SOS or RPI. Just get to that 6 win mark and I will be happy.

It seems that coaches always keep it vanilla to start the year out, and avoid tipping their hand if they don't have to in the games that they should win. I'm very happy to see the number of points that they have been able to put up, the opportunistic defense, and special teams as a strength. And a 48 yd FG!

QFT.

However, I think we're beginning to find out which members on this board voted for ISU to win 8, 9, 10 games in those blind polls earlier this summer in these postgame threads...

That would be great to get all those wins.

Winning one road game this year would be unreal awesome.
