This has been discussed quite a bit already, but the problem that Jacob is going to have is that he's not getting on campus until this summer. That is going to put him behind everyone else and will be a steep learning curve for him to compete for the starting job going in to the first game.
Obviously he has the talent. 4 star QB out of HS who went to Georgia. So he can play. It's just going to be a matter of how fast he can learn the system, get in football shape, etc. And Lanning is just getting better and better everyday right now too as he gets more comfortable being the guy, so it will be tough for anyone to beat him out.
But it will be good for everyone to have some more competition at the position. I don't know if DeLira or Noland will be ready or not, so Park may be depended on to be the back up to Lanning at some point? Also, don't rule out the walk on Kempt either IMO. I think we're sitting pretty good at the QB spot with these 4 guys.
Oh and let me add, I think the ceiling is higher for Park than it is for Lanning. Just a gut feeling mostly. So Lanning is obviously way ahead of Park now, but Park has the potential in him to be better some day if he learns the system, gets in shape, etc. That will all be up to him how badly he wants it. It will be nearly impossible to out work Lanning IMO, but Park might be the more talented QB. Not sure if that makes any sense to anyone?
