You must be new here. That's our AD for you, couldn't hire a quality coach even if one sat in front of him (Harbaugh/Briles). He has an ego even though he thoroughly promotes a losing culture. He is the problem not the solution.

He hired Gene Chizik, the hottest assistant coaching candidate out there, over Harbaugh/Briles. Hindsight is always 20/20, but you cant criticize him for landing the hottest assistant coach candidate at the time.

Its odd how many people ignore all the good that Pollard has done for the ISU AD, and just link him to the failure of the football program. If he fails to make a change at the end of this year (which I dont think will end up being his call), then I'll start looking into tickets on the Fire Pollard bandwagon. Pollard has done so much for this AD in the last 10 years that I cant quite get my hands around the fact that so many people dislike him.

No its not ignoring, it's the fact the biggest part of his job is hiring coaches and he has failed miserably at getting good coaches.

Seven pages of nothing and no real context to the tweet. He next posted a picture of the ISU tailgate area--under tents. The tweet was meant to show that ISU can figure out a way to actually tailgate in the rain.

Fans were not tailgating in a monsoon? I am shocked. If the game would have been in Ames and it was raining that hard, there would have been 5,000 total people in attendance.

Id say when Pollard took the job, his biggest task was the major upgrading of facilities, increasing budget, and increasing this fanbase. He has done a great job at those things.

Yes he has struggled to get quality coaches in here, although he did bring us Hoiberg, and who knows what Chizik would of done here long term. He needs to learn to not be so exclusive in his coaching searches, and bring in as much help as possible. I think this was done more with the Prohm hire then any other hire he has done, so maybe he is learning this. One thing I am certain of, and I think JP knows it, but the next football hire will likely be his last.

LOL! People tend to draw their own conclusions based off their current feelings towards a situation.

I see a very similar tent in the Baylor picture also. If he was trolling, he failed pretty miserably.

When the league kicks us to the curb within the next 5 to 10 years, remember this and other gratuitous nonsense that have emanated from the man genius who has made our last 2 head football coach hires. Facilities? Had more to do with historically high commodity prices than the guy who locked up Rhoads after losing the Whatchamacallit Bowl.

Happy was not happy. He gave me a reputation comment with at least seven different swear words in it. I would post it, but it makes this bot blush.

My take is the ISU tailgate area looked to be almost the size of the planned Baylor tailgate area.

I can't believe this thread is still going. The things people choose to get worked up over. If some of you could just see yourselves.

That he did.

He was trying to make a snide comparison (ending his mocking tweet with "........" and taking a picture of empty tables) and yet they have fans crammed into a tent like we did. But we have engineers to figure that out for us.

Often thought if you talk trash you need to back it up with success.
Oh wait, he was talking about tailgating. ISU has a great tailgating atmosphere. Jamie knows the best way to watch ISU football is probably under the influence. The man does not miss anything. BRILLIANT!
