I would volunteer, as long as their is a 10 second delay. I tend to swear longer than 5 seconds!
While he's at it, how about making sure the lights outside the stadium actually work. Last night I drove by "Jac Trice tadium." Pretty normal for lights to be out.
I wonder if the new PA announcer will carry on the tradition of sneaking in the term campanile at least once a game.

I’ve noticed this too. Seemed weird to b*tch about it with everything going right with FB this year but since you brought it up, I completely agree. It definitely needs fixed. Those letter need a new colored panel or something too. It’s super faded.
That actually makes me kinda sad. I’ve grown up with him as the PA announcer and I’ve been going to games since I was born. It’ll be weird hearing someone else’s voice

There is no chance that putting a mike on me during a Cyclone game would be a good idea.
I think the first down calls are a lot of fun, actually. It keeps my kids engaged in the game because they especially love to do it. I hope the new announcer keeps doing it.

How about learning the game. I haven’t had one issue. Understand what official calls what usually where the flag is and easiest of all what the signals and listen to what he announces.
Retiring . . . maybe he was doing it during the later Walden years when boos cascaded down the stands after every play. Not something that excites the spirit of college football players. PA guy might just be trying to encourage other reactions that actually support the players this 20 plus years on down the road.
