Just looking through Big 12 stats, KU has only punted 18 times in 8 conference games. They have only returned 3 punts but average 31 yards when they return a punt. They do return kickoffs though (19 times), just not that great (20.8 yard average).

It is classic KU offense focus vs ISU defense focus. Hopefully defense wins.

Going to be a lot of juice in Trice Sat. That momentum is going to be quickly squashed when KU marches down the field and methodically scores.

They run the ball well our defense has been susceptible to the run. Our LB's have improved a bit but not enough to slow them down.

Offensively we need to be efficient but our good luck in TO's run out and are -2. One fumble in their red zone and a pick because Rocco presses to much because we're are behind all game.

Heacock adjustments come too late and their lead is too much for us to catch up. Lose by 7. Que failure sound effect..

hey all, first time poster..

I am an alum of a generally non-competing Land Grant institution and going to my first game in Ames on Saturday... any tailgating or general game day pointers? Pregame concerts, team arrival, that jazz?

We're going to park in the lots southeast of campus (how quickly do those fill up?) and hang out there before the game.

Will be cheering for ISU, I don't need to watch KU win twice in person in one year and have always had a soft spot for ISU fans since moving to Iowa several years ago.
Are you a KSTATE coach trying to pull off a Michigan spy thing?

I just hope the weather is conducive for throwing the football. If it isn't we lose one of our biggest advantages. This is the weekend for Rocco to hit on those open, big play throws. They will be there and he needs to convert. Don't think we win this game if our own ineptitude is the reason for not scoring (missed plays, missed FGs, penalties, play calling).

I don’t see Mr. Bean finishing the game. Heacock has a special plan dialed up for that guy. It may be fall, but it’s time to plant some beans.

That doosh-troll is on my ignore list and CF is a significantly better experience. It's not even a fan, it's just a dude who gets off on people's reactions.
In almost sixteen years on this board, I’ve never ignored a single person. I usually figure everyone has something worthwhile to say, at least once in a while.

ZRF keeps edging his way towards being the very first. I find stupid takes tiresome, and ZRF does that frequently, consistently…and persistently.

It’s not even worth pointing out the multitudinous flaws, let along debating.

I've been upset after games and have been critical of certain things but to be constantly negative and immediately jump to all the negatives when the team is playing pretty well and the game is a few days away is just next level.
Even makes me think fondly of clonedude. Love you, man!

We’ve seemed better with containing QBs this year. In the past seems like giving up untimely 3 &15 20 yard scampers was our achilles heel.

Don’t recall that being as much of an issue this season.

4th game in a row with the same dour prediction. You'll be wrong, again, this week.
