A couple things stood out to me in his announcement:

1) He’d told everyone behind the scenes awhile ago this was happening, so it was not a sudden thing.

2) He told Murph and Andy over the air that he hopes to work with them on a similar show in the future, and it didn’t sound like a platitude.

Calling my shot, but I think all of them leave KXNO in the near future and begin doing M&A as a podcast, maybe even as part of Iowa Everywhere.

Ya I could see KXNO just letting everyone go again, and hopefully M&A end up just doing their own show. With Iowa Everywhere would be great! But I'd take a standalone too. I think it would be good for them to be part of a network.

Dear god. Would they do that? Sears is the absolute worst. I wouldn't even like him being a Hawkeye fan. Like Heather, she's a Cyclone and I don't like her.

I've yet to find any of her takes original or informative...I dunno just not my style. She has held her own as a woman in a dominated male field and I respect the hell out of her for that...however that doesn't mean I am required to be entertained by her style. My favorite segment she brings is her husband taking questions about all things police-business. If he had his own police podcast that'd be awesome.

I mean I don't have strong opinions as I don't listen to her shows, but ya not my style. I liked her way back in the day, like 20 years ago when she hosted Sound Off from time to time.

I will say though I saw her at the Moonlight Classic Bike Ride helping to promote the charity and talked to her for a bit and that all was great.

Big Kudos to CW for creating IowaEverywhere....seems they continue to gain so much momentum and being ahead of the "media doesn't have to look like what it's always looked like." Makes you wonder truly how the finances work (meaning, if Murph get $XX for hosting on KXNO, he may get the same but more flexiblity going to a pod or more.. As, i'm sure, something like a Murph and Andy pod could definitely hold it's own, but might not have as big of "outside central iowa" draw as some of the other shows.

I’ve gotten into the habit of keeping track of how many times CW says the word “Like” instead of actually listening to the podcast. Now I can’t stop.

I agree. It can be really distracting. As someone who works with young college kids students use "like" a lot, and sometimes I cannot hear anything they say because they use "like" about every four words. That isn't an exaggeration. I know we all have our speech foibles, but if you make a living by speaking you would think that would be under control. Like Travis Justice and his stuttering thing he does. I never noticed until someone pointed it out and now that is all I hear.

Can you imagine Murph and Andy, but without FCC guardrails? Even a little more PG-13 content would be a huge win.

I have literally turned off podcasts because of this. How does someone use the word "like" three times in one sentence?
