Stop listening to the show.

For that matter, my flag pole broke recently and today I made a point not to support their flag pole sponsor just because of that show and past history. I went here instead, A-D Distributing CO.,INC. Collegiate flags, flagpoles, foreign flags, custom flags, state flags, military flags (Located on East Grand Ave, Des Moines 515-288-3365 or 800-553-4123). They could be husker or hawk fans or ISU fans, I don't know, but they are not sponsors of the station in question... Also, you can drop off your old US flags and they will pass along to the Legion that will destroy via approrpiate ceremony.

I support none of the KXNO sponsors, none. This is how you eliminate insignificant shows...

Ditto

Stop supporting the sponsors & tell em' why your not buying their product. If they're going to support that d-bag Perrault & his crap, pull the plug on em'. I haven't listened to him for quite some time & I'm much better for it. I've actually been avoiding the morning show too....Miller's 12-0 prediction for Iowa did it. Just plain stupidity on both shows and I'm not dropping to their level anymore.

If you took a fan pole each year on who ISU wants to beat, it would not be Iowa.

What exactly does "it's our Super Bowl" mean.? Does it mean that we want to win the game more? There are only 12 games in a college football season, so if our team has an advantage by wanting it more I'll take that. I really don't understand why it is an insult. These are Division 1 athletes and coaches, so I'm pretty sure there is enough motivation on both sides of the ball to win this game.

They try to use it as an insult but its really just the excuse they use every time they lose the game. "Oh well, we didn't really care about that game. The only reason they won is because that is the only game they work towards all year, its their superbowl." They haven't had to bust that excuse out for 2 years now. Let's change that on Saturday.

Sure didn't help the perception way back when we wore "Beat Iowa" on our uniforms. Did they wear "Beat State" on their unis too?

All he is doing is trying to win over the Iowa fan base and **** us off. It makes him sound stupid saying that just like it makes Jon Miller and Zabble sound stupid when they say it. The better team wins this game in 9 of 10 years, heck one could say 29 out of 30 years. Just look back at the history of the series. Losing this game has never cost Iowa anything.

Matt P demonstrated his historic ignorance by repeating that OLD standard HAWK line, "Iowa has nothing to gain by playing ISU nationally . . . because it's ISU's SUPER BOWL." Way to go Giggles! You are a genius.

BTW, let me help you . . PLEASE do not go to the Iowa/ISU Saturday . . do us all a favor for once and stay in your apartment flipping channels.

Why are you listening?

1. ISU/Iowa is Iowa's Super Bowl. Hawk fans most potent venom is reserved for this game.

2. Three things in life are certain; death, taxes and the fact that ISU will be playing BCS level football long after KXnO cans Giggles' hack ***. So lets speed up the process and turn off KXnO. I did it and so should you.

I'm sure Chris Williams appreciates your "why listen?" He had a lengthy segment discussing ISU and the game. Frankly, Chris is gaining a lot of traction in the local media and is sought after for his commentary. So . . why do I listen?

+It is Iowa/ISU week.
+Chris Williams.
+What other media am I supposed to listen to? This backwater state does not offer a plethera of other options now .. does it?
+Occasional listening does not equate with "listening all the time."
+Why do you aggress a fellow Cyclone fan who is calling out Giggles?

EWW ISU

Any Iowa fan who tells you that this game "doesn't matter" is lying. Period. You ALWAYS want to beat a rival and you ALWAYS want to win a game. Beating a Big 12 opponent (last I checked) was still a pretty good thing to have on your record (unless it's Kansas) :)

You do realize the only reason Hawk fans "don't want this game anymore..." or "call it our super bowl..." is because it's become a rivalry again, and gosh-darnit, they just might lose!
They don't have the sure victory anymore. Back during their glory years, every Hawk fan and his dog was in favor of the game. But ever since ISU has turned things around here and there, you hear this crap.

this is correct.

+It is Iowa/ISU week. So you'll get better info from Giggles than CF?
+Chris Williams. So Giggles is on w/ Chris and calls this ISU's SB?

Listening to Giggles show supports an anti-Cyclone show. I won't and don't do it.

Because if you're calling someone out, you obviously care what they say. I'm suggesting that Giggles doesn't deserve our time.

It's my hope that CW takes his talent off of KXnO and gets his own show somehwere else. I've no idea if this would interest Chris but I would tune in.

I am hoping that, if interested, Chris can take giggles place on the radio when enough Cyclone fans stop listening.

I have stopped listening, unless CW is on or they are interviewing an ISU coach, and I will sign a petition if need be. Everyone jump on the, "No to KXNO" bandwagon.

As a Hawk fan I like this game and hope they continue it, and think it is all the better the more competitive that it is. Good for both teams...good for the state.

I also think MP is a DB.

That being said, his statement that "Iowa has nothing to gain by playing isu nationally" is spot on. isu gets no respect from the national media. National media understands it is a rivalry game, but no one puts much stock in. As far as the national spotlight goes it would be better for the Hawks to play a middle of the road or even bad team from the east coast...Big East or ACC. More respect, more exposure.

Some doosh in my townhome community has:

NIL8ST8

I sometimes let my dog poop on his yard.

Last night in Des Moines a car had the following black and gold Hawkeye plates:

EWW ISU

Nope, they're not obsessed. :jimlad:

But they have a lot to lose. No win on Saturday, no NC; Sorry Skip Bayless and Ivan Maisel.

Not trying to flame you here or anything but what do you have to gain by playing EIU?
