In 2005 the other 7-4 teams were Oklahoma and Nebraska...I don't think isu jumps them in bowl respect even if they would have given them one of their losses...much like Iowa jumping OSU or Michigan (although we did jump Michigan once I suppose).
RF...grant me just a little wiggle room here. In 2005, give KU a win vs. a poor CU team. That makes KU 7-4 with no wins vs. a ranked team. ISU 7-4 with a win vs. then #8 Iowa. Don't you think the isu resume gets them a better bowl than KU?
The way 2005 shook down...that win made no difference as isu was behind the other two whether it was a win vs. #8 Iowa or #100 Kentucky. In some curcumstances though...one big win could propell a team to a better bowl...can't it?
