I disagree but that’s fine

I don’t think he is a lottery pick if he wasn’t and I feel the same about AJ.

Steph Curry probably gets drafted higher in a better conference. I’m not saying talent won’t get discovered just easier in a conference with more exposure.
How do those European players every get drafted without being on TV? Or the GL players this year? Or Ja Morant? and on and on and on and on. I mean do you think scouts can't find guys if they aren't on national TV every game?

you claim AJs tweet is written in stone, kids change their minds

Still not related, other than Twitter.

Rasir Bolton has been here for two seasons and made a conscious decision to come here, albeit to a different coach and staff.

AJ Green, other than being actively recruited as a high school student-athlete, has shown absolutely no interest in coming to Iowa State. He stated as much yesterday in what I would consider to be emphatic terms. He is from Cedar Falls, played basketball and won a state title at Cedar Falls, is currently finishing up his third year of school at UNI, and gave his emotional connection to the Cedar Falls community as one of the reasons for him choosing to remain at UNI. If he had sent out a statement yesterday claiming that he was looking at his options or something similar there would be good reasons to speculate as to his future, but there has not been anything close to that.

You are welcome to keep on wondering if it could happen, but IMO it makes absolutely no sense to keep on doing so when there is absolutely no indication that it could happen.

It just strikes me as a useless waste of time. IMO there are some names in the transfer portal on a different thread that are much more worthy of discussion.

Getting Kyle here without his kid is still a win. He is a very solid coach.

I gotta admit I'm confused, and I come with an open mind to a response. You just stated (and reinforced several times) in the "Coach TJ’s Coaching StAff" thread that you feel TJ's staff is weak tactically and will not out-scheme anyone, then later admitted you do like Blount, and now you also think Green is a win.

So...will we suck, or will we be good?

I'm asking for a friend. Thanks for accepting my call, I'll hang up and listen.

Being totally honest, I’m a little disappointed in how the staff ended up, but probably wouldn’t have been at all if not for all the talk about the “all-star, highly impressive “ staff we were supposed to be getting based on conjecture the last time TJ was a candidate.

The last rumored Staff are now all head coaches. This staff rivals that one at the time.

IMO this is an all-star/highly impressive staff. This info is from ISU's press releases, so definitely going to be promoters. But the recognition is unbiased:

Kyle Green: Last summer, Green was named Stadium's top assistant coach in the Missouri Valley Conference in a poll of coaches in the league.

JR Blount: Last summer, Stadium named Blount one of the top-five assistant coaches in the MWC thanks to his success at Colorado State.

I realize some people aren't wow'd by their hiring because they weren't assistants at Duke, Michigan State, Kansas, etc. But IMO their resume's are better. These guys have helped build quality mid-major teams by developing players and teams. They haven't been handed a roster full of 4 & 5 star players.

Testifying
The activity around the glass is something.
Not piling on Prohm but usually there were guards heading back on D as soon as a shot happened.
I'm sure there are +/- of both philosophies.

YOu aren't piling on at all...Prohm was paid Millions of dollars a year to teach basketball and did not do it very well at all..

We were the worst rebounding ISU team i've ever seen past few years..

And yes...Green is a huge reason for defense and rebounding.
