Right, but that's what damn near everything on here is...some random fan's opinion. If you don't like a lazard/ND thread, don't come in...don't like random fan's opinions...why are you here, derpy?

Do I think this ND fan has any insight? No, but it's a place to shoot the breeze talking about ISU football.

I'm not taking some random fan's opinion, and like I said Lazard has mentioned before that he's 100% commited to ISU. I was under the impression this was a place to come and discuss ISU, and this experience pertained to ISU and a recruit. Sorry I seem to have ruined peoples days...

The guy I talked to also wanted to know when ISU was going to get started on bowling in the south endzone. Does any one have any updates on that?

Doesn't bug me but I think some people would prefer that your thread be located in an existing AL/ND thread. I don't blame people for having AL/ND fatigue.

There is one about every day and the source is not some valid article, its a Notre Dame fan's perspective. Straight from Lazard's mouth, there is a 97% chance he lands in Ames, "would take something major" for that to change. There is nothing some random ND fan can say otherwise to make me believe he is not coming to Ames.

Lazard is coming to ISU barring a coaching change or a 2-10 season. ND fans can think what they want

A guy on my highschool swim team played for ND. He recovered the fumble in the end zone when they won the national championship. He played a couple of downs for the Falcons... Good guy but going to ND did not make him special by any means...

There's an idiot in every room. If you can't seem to find him then it's you...and you are a ND fan.

He is not going to ND.

His dad played here, his brother plays here, he will play here. His brother is a RS Freshman, do you really think that he is going to go to ND and make his parents miss their kids games? He is a huge ISU fan, he has grown up with ISU, he likes them the way we like them. His dad cant wait for him to go to ISU.

He came back from ND and said he wasnt impressed. What more is there to say?

The legacy factor is honestly only like second or third on my list of reasons to believe Allen is going to stick to his commitment.

I had a long discussion last night with a ND fan I know who is 100% convinced that Lazard is going to end up at ND, not ISU. His reasons:

1: It's Notre Dame, man! (Should have seen this coming)
2: Why would he choose ISU compared to ND?!?
3: A degree from ND means so much more than one from ISU. It's a 40-year choice, not a 4-year choice.
4: He should want to compete with the best, not show up and be the best.
5: Isn't his ultimate goal to get to the NFL? ND can make that happen better than ISU.
6: He's taking an official visit, and once he gets on campus and sees a game, he won't want to go anywhere else.

I have no idea what AL really wants, but for right now at least, he's saying all the right things regarding ISU. I feel pretty confident that he will come to ISU, but just wanted to share this experience.

He left off the most important point - that raging arsehole Kelly or Rhoads. Pretty big point.
