Bout time. This game is a program changer. Win or lose. We go out there and compete and show them we're for real, we'll be rounding a corner IMO.

That is crazy that they have their own network - just amazing that they can pull that off. AND, it actually looks like a real refined and well-run station. Wish they would open it up to Big XII network, but we'll see what happens...

For **** sake, just make that Big 12 network. I would watch a B12 network every day! I watch B10 network a lot...and I hate the Big 10.

Definitely agree. Hell, the content would likely be dominated by the more traditional powerhouses, but you've got to fill 24 hours a day, and there is surely room to show off all the schools, and that would dramatically broaden the appeal of the network.

I think Mack has always had an affection for ISU, stemming from his days as an assistant here. I've always found him to have very kind words for us.

That is probably the slickest production in the history of television to not have any viewers. The youtube clips may have a wider audience as of now.

Nice to hear Steele Jantz's name on LHN too.

I wonder if there's any information opposing coaches could learn watching Texas practice. You would think somebody on the team has final cut to edit out any helpful information.

Not gonna lie, the Longhorn Network looked pretty sweet in that video...

It looks like better quality than the whole Big 10 network!

wow, I'm glad that we can have a discussion about the UPCOMING GAME rather than a discussion about a stupid tv station.

It pisses me off that some people want post limits before you can start a thread. How about rules about posting about the actual thread topic and not what ever you want!

No kidding, we have an ABC affiliate in Ames that looks less professional that that. We need one of those.

Most small markets have TV stations like that. It just sucks that WOI channel 5 is the one with links to the Cyclones.

Back on topic, I believe that no self respecting coach in the Big 12 would overlook Iowa State any more. We have beaten two of the top schools in the conference at their house in each of the past two years. I believe all the coaches in the Big 12 respect Paul Rhoads and what he has done to ISU football.

In public. In private he's told his players that it's incumbent upon them to beat us by a large margin (larger than OU). That's not respect.

Lot's of coaches have respect in public when their team is winning. They LOVE to pat ISU on the head and say "nice try little buddy". You'll remember things got a lot less nice when we beat NU in '09, UT last season and how 'bout all the classy hawk fans around here lately.

It's not a bad thing though. I honestly don't think we've gotten UT's attention yet. They will look past us to OU.

im really hoping they do. let them look past us so we can beat them for 2 straight years. that would help recruiting a ton and would let us get more good players that would let us compete with them every year instead of hoping to upset them

Nebraska, yes. Texas was not one of the top schools last year. They finished with the exact same record we have, and I'd argue we played the tougher schedule. They flat out weren't good.

And I can pretty much guarantee the Oklahoma schools probably overlook Iowa State. I don't believe we have beaten either since I've been in school, and have lot some ugly, ugly games to them. Wouldn't be surprised if A&M also does because we haven't consistently competed with even the middle tier of the conference.

If we could just beat Father Time we'd be right in the lower middle of the conference.

I can't believe he's telling his team to beat ISU by a large margin. Texas isn't Texas of the past. He would be happy with a last second field goal to win by one. This is a conference road game and Texas will struggle to win any conference road games. Look at it this way, this could be ISU's easiest conference game excluding KU. ISU's other home games are OSU and A&M, two teams that are quite a bit better then Texas this year.
