I have little desire to do many really major sporting events. If Iowa State isn't in it, I'd rather go to a first/second round NCAA games than the Final Four. I have no desire to go to the Super Bowl. A Masters would be fun though.

I respectfully disagree. If you don't have a dog in the fight, go to the Final 4, and watch the first 2 rounds in a bar. Being at round 1&2 can lack a lot of energy and you miss the games in other regions. I'd rather go to the conference tourney than rounds 1&2 if ISU isn't in the NCAA regional.

Other than ISU stuff I've only been to about 4 MLB games at the old Busch Stadium and 1 game at whatever the name of the stadium the Royals play at.

Not a pro sports fan. Wouldn't mind going to a Packers game just of the experience, but that's about it.

I would say 'do it!'

I am not a fan of either team but I had the opportunity to get my hands on tickets for a Monday night Vikings/Packers game at Lambeau. I took a Packer fan buddy of mine who had never been to Lambeau and it was a great time. Lambeau is on a short list of stadia that I believe every football fan should visit if they get the chance.

Gameday vs fku. My first ever game seeing fku in hilton. My gf and I stayed in Ankeny Thursday at Country Inn and had a nice meal at Waterfront and got some new ISU gear at Strawberry Patch. Drove to Ames Friday and went to the mall all day and had wings at BWW. Stayed at Country Inn in Ames that night in a whirlpool suit with the romance package. Met up with my family and went to the Gameday event. Went and ate at Hickory Park. Back to the hotel for a nap and it was off to Hilton for the big game! One of the best weekends of my adult like. There was an added bonus of turning my at the time Iowa fan gf into a huge ISU fan.

Chiefs Broncos in 2013. ISU vs OSU in 2011. Saw SDSU beat Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse last year too.

Man, my list sucks.

Game 3 of the 2013 World Series. That was the one where the Cardinals beat the Red Sox 5-4 on a walk-off obstruction call.

2006 Hawaii Bowl - saw Colt Brennan break the NCAA record for most TD passes in a college football season

2007 College World Series championship games - saw Oregon State repeat as National Champs

2010 NCAA Tournament 1st/2nd round in OKC - saw UNI upset UNLV and #1 ranked Kansas

2015 Wichita State vs UNI basketball game - most on here won't consider this a major sporting event, but it was the first time two ranked teams matched up in the McLeod Center and UNI won by 16

2015 MLB Opening Night
- got to cross this off my bucket list seeing the Cubs play on Opening Night/Day against the Cardinals

Little late to the party but I'll chime in.

Super Bowl XLV
-Watched my GBP beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in Jerry's world.

Kansas Jayhawks National Championship 2008
-San Antonio, Texas at the AT&T Center. Chalmers banked in a 3 with 2.1 left to force overtime. Also much mention I didn't have tickets to this but rather snuck in with my buddy at the time who graduated from KU.

St. Louis Cardinals World Series games 6 and 7
-against Texas in 2011 both in St. Louis and both quite possibly the best nights of my life as a Cardinal fan.

-Insight.com bowl against Pittsburgh and Larry Fitzgerald back in the day down in AZ.

-Seneca Wallace "The Run" game

-Every Iowa-Iowa State game since 2003

-Iowa State-Oklahoma State 2011 (as hard as it is to admit, I left at halftime)

-Oddly enough I was in KC watching WWF live when Owen Heart plummeted 50+ feet to his death at Kemper Arena. Not one I want to remember but noteworthy.

Anyone else keep all their ticket stubs? I'll be buried with all mine. Memories that truly last a lifetime.

Our family vacation when I was a kid was to go see the Daytona 500 every year. It's a much bigger deal now then it was back then.

I was at Wrigley when Andre Dawson took the fastball to the face and saw the huge, bench clearing brawl. That's one thing I will never forget.
