"20 minutes from the U Of A. It's where Wal Mart Corporate Headquarters is located his mother got a job there."

That's all you need to know. I'm sure no higher ups at WalMart are big Arkansas donors.

Maybe that's it because I'm pretty sure Georgia has like 2 winning seasons in the last decade or something
Georgia may have been a bit of a stretch after looking back at the past few years. But I thought they were a solid team last year and they do return a few key guards. Anyway, my point still stands, the SEC isn't that bad.

SEC sucks in Bball, Arkansas, UK, Florida, and Mizzou are the only schools with much "tradition", and out of those UK and FL are the only relevant ones at this point.

The only higher-ups at Walmart that would donate is the Walton family, but they don't do much since they have stadiums named after them. The actual working higher ups are all transplants, and none really give 2 flips about U of A. They have just in the past year or 2 finished their upgraded indoor football facility, and are now building a basketball facility.

I feel like it would kind of suck to know you mostly got that position because they want your little brother to commit there.

Yeah, but think of the fun you could have knowing they likely won't fire you and cut ties with that recruit/your little brother

LOL! You're right. Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Missouri all have terrible basketball programs! Why would anyone ever go there?

UK and Florida have elite programs. The rest of the SEC is blah and they probably have the worst fan support of the any other major conference. I know it's appealing to play in front of hundreds of people for some, but basketball at its elite level is played in front of full arenas of ravenous fans. In other words, the SEC is a terrible basketball conference. There's not really any debating that.

UK, Florida and Arkansas have quite a few national titles in the last 20 years.

Arkansas has one, 21 years ago. I know that is more than we have, but seriously that is like saying Nebraska is better than Oregon at football because Tommy Fraizer.

Which is a direct reflection of, really, UK and Florida. At the end of the day, it's those two schools and then mediocre basketball. When the fans don't even care to show up, the rest of the country probably doesn't care either. Out of the power basketball conferences, where would you rank them? I have them below the Big 12, Big 10, AAC, and ACC.

Pac12 will be better than the ACC this year too. They will likely get Arizona, Oregon, UCLA, Utah, and Colorado into the field. Oregon State and Stanford will both be right there on the bubble. The SEC will get Kentucky and Florida in. The bubble will be Arkansas and Tennessee.

This is exactly why I put them at or near the bottom, on average. UK and Florida carry that conference. I'll admit that KU has carried the Big 12 in some years, but generally speaking, we have 3 to 4 solid tourney teams.

Yeah, I just noticed that you didn't list the Pac12 as a conference better than the SEC.
