All I know is the "48-point performance" is keeping me up on the sidebar and I really want to go to bed. I hate you Marcus Smart.

N word or not this still is completely unacceptable. He just extended a one year college career into a 3 year one.

Unacceptable? Yes. However, if that's what happened, the fan needs to be held accountable as well. Not a Marcus Smart apologist. I despise him as much as anyone else, but if the fan said what we have all read he may have said...there is no excuse for that either. Tit (biggins) for tat.

When you've had scouts, coaches, fans, ESPN, ect ect kissing your butt for 20 years, and then things go south, what did y'all expect would happen?

The fact that Smart gets up and turns around fully when he wasn't that close to begin with means that the fan said something pretty bad. Doesn't excuse the push, but I think that will weigh heavily into this.

You could play the other side of this, too, though. Because he wasn't facing him nor that close, Smart had to make a conscious effort to approach the fan and escalate the situation, when he could have just as easily let it go.

Just playing devil's advocate here.

Perhaps, though I don't know how selective (or logical) racists are. You would think at least three or four people had to have heard that if Smart did.
Yeah, I don't think of racists as being the most logical people. And it could be more people did hear him. The only person you can really see in the video after smart shoves him is the wife, and she'd probably be more upset at smart than her husband

That win isn't looking so fantastic at the moment. They have completely melted down over there. I thought that they looked pretty good against us... Baylor looks terrible.

I don't understand why fans are supposed to be off limits. If a guy is being a jerk, he deserves to get his *** kicked. Just because you paid for a ticket you don't have the right to say whatever you feel like. It isn't some paid pass to act like a *******.

Fans always get up in arms about these things because they are afraid that they might actually be held accountable for their actions while in the stands.

Yeah, you could argue that Smart just flipped out given the evidence. I don't know how it will shake out, but I think what the guy said or supposedly said will come into play.

What are they saying on the OSU boards?

There is a split with the fans but what i have been able to get to load is that "the majority" are calling for fords head, smart to be gone and wishing this season would end. OrangePower is def having some issues with servers.

Doesn't matter what the fan said imo. You can't retaliate especially by escalating rhe situation. If he would have jawed with him some this is an entirely different situation.

He escalated not the fan. He continued to point fingers and had to be essentially hugged and pushed to the locker room to prevent anything else form happening. This is all on smart.

If they would be standing in the street and some guy calls him a name and he pushes him he is going to jail plain and simple.
