Now I'm curious if Kansas could beat Iowa.

Unless Iowa finds a way to drive the ball consistently, there's a whole bunch of teams that could beat them.

Their defense is good but it only takes one big play (as they know) from an offense that defines the game.

Yes, it’s residual affect from last year, which of course is stupid as hell in college sports.
Good point. Because it’s not as if some schools have a lot of players and coaches returning or anything.

I mean, I’d never guess in a million years the first week that Alabama is better than Rutgers, right? :jimlad:

Sure- we have to start a steady climb about halfway through the season. However, this week and next, no need to rank us. Now, if we’re 6-0 going into the OU game, we should start to get our groove moving and crack the top 10 by beating OU again.

Honestly we win this week over a ranked team at 4-0 we should be ranked. Might not be but should be.

I think with 3-4 games in the Massey composite rating is actually somewhat valuable given how many polls it considers. Many are still using a lot of data from last year but some just this year.
Here’s where ISU, Big 12, Possible New Big 12 and other notables sit:

5. OU
9. OKSt
12. Texas
15. Utah
16. Baylor
17. ISU
18. Cincy
25. BYU
33. Iowa (I know, but take it as a good win)
34. KSU
42. TTech
44. TCU
48. UCF
50. KU
60. Houston
64. WVU
73. Arizona St
83. Arizona
90. Nebraska
116. Colorado

Conf ranking:
#1 BIG 12 32.2
#2 SEC 33.45
#3 Big Ten 42.57
#4 PAC 12 52.96
#5 ACC 69.91
#6 AAC 81.90

I like how you snuck Kneb in there. You're so sweet to think of us! Haha!

Just kidding. Good job.

Nuttin' like some good Rutgers experience coming back!

I'd stack that up against anybody. Well except. you know, Alabama. :)

You’re probably right…but I hope they wait another week to rank us if we do win the next two games.

Not sure where Nevada is in that mess (see tweet), but I'm pretty sure the KU defense is worse than Nevada. And if Iowa can score 27 on them, KU might struggle to match it.
I think I see Texas Tech, Mississippi State, and Nevada basically on top of each other.
Nevada noticeably worse offense, much better defense compared to Kansas. (In that tweet, through 3 games.)
