I read the first page.......skipped to the end.

This is certifiably a top-ten collection of some of worst interpretations of game-situation decisions about Campbell.
Big believer in freedom of speech, but some of you are.........wow.

Flame away boys and girls.

Maybe it is we dont have a Butler?

There's a lack of reality being realized here: Butler was also under thrown on many of this catches/TDs, but was great at the circus/in traffic catch.

It's been written/said that Scates etc. often times are open on long throws but are under thrown. I didn't see the Hutchinson int yesterday but it sounded like he was open too.

QB 15 struggles to get it there.

Totally agree and there is nothing you can do about it. We now have receivers who can motor. Makes arm strength even more apparent.

I have no idea what the fourth quarter was, but the coaching (play calling) gave us no chance to win. Had we not wasted two series we may have had a chance.

We gave up down 17 with the 4th quarter to go. Plain and simple. I assume Campbell was trying to send a message and this was an intentional coaching move. Because we certainly weren’t focusing on winning that game - that isn’t even questionable.

Maybe it was the right coaching move - the team (and coaching staff) clearly need a wake up call.

More than arm strength. Timing is critical unless throwing it to basketball forwards like butler and Lazard. Charlie is kind of that, but needs to be schemed open more. In Purdy’s defense, we don’t often work in it in games unless forced too.

Is there any question Purdy is best when scrambling and moving the pocket as a run/pass threat in which raw arm strength and timing is not as critical?

If he is too injured to play that way, get Dekkers in there

Hakeem was something else here. We haven’t had that since.

Iowa’s offense sucks. Like way below average sucks. So they rely on their defense to create turnovers and special teams. And so far this year, our defense has been great but we haven’t created many game changing plays and our special teams, especially punting, has been average to below average (especially yesterday). We need the offense to be average or slightly above average and it most definitely hasn’t been so far.
ST and offense get bailed out by the defense yet again.
Manning gets paid the same as Heacock?

The scary thing is this may make the offensive staff even more restrictive.

But Hakeem made it work no matter the throw. Scates and X don’t quite do that. (Although to be fair, most WR’s don’t)

Hakeem was a genius at the circus catch. Routine routes though just weren't his deal.

Regarding the benching…..

Benching Purdy made sense to me coaching wise. Give Dekkers a shot. See if the team rallies behind him. They did.

Benching Xavier was also justified. The deep ball was underthrown by Purdy, but he needed to make an adjustment and fight for the ball and i put part of that INT on him. And the drop that he tipped for the INT is also fully on him. I haven’t seen this said by many, but a big part of the Purdy interception problem was Hutchinson.

Benching Hall did not make sense to me at all. He responded well to the fumble. He came out with a little extra fire the next possession that he played. So why then did he later get benched? Im glad we got Sanders some reps cuz he looked good, but Hall never came back in. That made it feel like we quit, rather than trying to spark the team to rally.

Trying to formulate a defense of CMC and Manning in these games against UNI, Drake, and Iowa etc

They like to reality check the team early each year. This team in particular needed a wakeup call and hence a **** plan to create some adversity against UNI. Instead it just allowed the players to feel they can win regardless of focus and effort. A little better opponent in Iowa’s super bowl, and it’s 4 TOs and a L.

2017 the offense started okay, but Heacock hadn’t implemented his genius and the Park’s divergence with our culture became an issue. We understandably had to play differently with Kempt

In 2018 no Manning, but we didn’t have a GM1, so the slow start is expected, plus Kempt was limited and injured. Purdy playing like a wildcard pivots the season

2019, 3 OT with UNI because the offense sucked was a red flag it wasn’t Kempt and the missed first game. Our offense, if left to Manning and CMC is best described as “mirror the opponent’s offense “

2020- Covid and no Kolar, but just pathetic execution again. ST disaster. WTF are they doing in camp? TCU gifted us 20+ points, otherwise we’re 0-2.

Even that int that Hutchinson tipped was poorly thrown. High and hard pass from close range, not accurate. The other two INTs were just horrific throws.
