You didn't watch him that closely did you?

OU shoved him left and right out of the way for rebounds. He needs to become the ghost rebounder where the opponent does not know where he comes from for the rebound.

We probably felt that way about Georges before last year. Seems like last year's Cap City League was when I first noticed Georges made threes consistently. I remember laughing about it 'cause every time Dustin would block him from going to the basket, Georges would just step back and hit a three. ****** Dustin off every time. Soooo, it made Georges a much harder player to guard, let's hope the same happens for Jameel.

Niang shot 39% from 3 as a freshman. It definitely wasn't new to his game last year.

Check out his IHCC game clips. I remember him hitting at least one from the corner.

McKay definitely showed more of a face-up game in JUCO. He started showing it some as the year went on too; I remember him facing up a few times from 15 feet and dribbling right around slower posts. I think he's in for an explosion in his senior year

I think Jameel will be a little better prepared this season even without adding a whole lot of bulk or strength. You have to remember he's only played half a season of Big 12 ball at this point. It's a whole different game.

Not new. Just vastly improved from his sophomore year where he shot 33%, which that year put him 7th in 3pt average on that team. Ironically, Dustin was the only one from last year's team to have a better 3 pt average.

I have a relative who has played Jameel during Jameel's time here at Iowa State and said, when open, he nails every three he takes. Which lead to confusion as to why he never took those shots in games. My guess is it was a confidence thing, or he was just waiting to break it out this year?

It's edited so you didn't see the 50 misses. You do see that the tape is stopped and restarted?

Might have been the same shot shown over and over again. :skeptical: Seriously, he's shown in warm ups he's got a pretty good looking jumper and I'm sure he'll be using it more in the pre-conference games to get the confidence up.
