I could see him as a 3 point specialist in the NBA that gets spot minutes in circumstantial situations, but I don't see him as big minutes guy.

He's a solid shooter and a good player in the right system. He'd have done really well on a Hoiberg team. Compared to everyone on TJ's team, he is Charmin soft, though.

He got absolutely clowned at the combine last year. Highly doubtful.

Look…I want Gilbert on my team any day of the week, but I’m not having a cow with Sandfort being ranked higher in something like this.

Sandfort showed me last year that he can be VERY hard to defend. He’s 6’8” 215 and shoots the **** out of the ball. Has better handles than people will give him credit for too. I’m not saying he can run the point for ya, but a fast break opportunity isn’t going to slow down if the ball is in his hands. Remember, Kyle Korver (6’7” 212) made a hell of a living in the league.

Korver in his worst shooting season shot just under 43% from 3. Sandfort hasn’t done close to that. Korver was a 45% shooter from deep in his college career. He was just as filthy in the NBA most years, too. I don’t think you understand how good of a 3pt shooter you need to be to make that a successful career at that level. Especially if that’s is all you bring to the table.

Sandfort is a career 36% 3pt shooter. That’s bad for a player whose 3pt shooting is supposed to be his strength. Please stop with making him out to be some sharp shooter. Plus he is extremely unathletic which is crazy and embarrassing for a D1 athlete with all the training resources at his disposal.

He tried the NBA draft process this year. At the combine he was 0-7 from 3 in 33 minutes of game action. Had a three quarter sprint (whatever that is) that was slower than Zach Edey and only faster than Donovan Clingan. A standing vert of 22 inches, worst at the combine. And a max vert or 28 inches, second to worst. He’s hardly a draftable NBA prospect with those numbers
So basically he's tall.

Sandfort is a very good shooter, but he takes a ton of shots and also shoots a lot of low percentage ones. He's going to be "the guy" for Iowa this year outside of Freeman, and we'll see how that transpires. He's horrific defensively though and is pretty unathletic. I think he's a less talented and less athletic Weiskamp.

He is not even close to being as good as Kyle Korver was in college. It's not even a fair comparison. Kyle was 1st team All-American his senior year.

Just wow. Sandfort ranked higher thank Gilbert or Jones. Sandfort is an offensive player that cannot play a lick of defense.

Hard to take this list seriously with Dickinson at 4 and sandfordt ahead of Gilbert for starters

I would take cujo, lipsey, chill and gilbert over sandfort. A better question would be are you picking cujo or gilbert first?

FWIW, Field of 68 has ISU their #5 team, Tamin as there #3 PG in the country (behind Mark Sears from Alabama and Braden Smith from Purdue). They are also doing a top 100 player count down, only at player 51 as of now, so far only ISU player on their top 100 is Joshua Jefferson (#98). I expect Tamin, Keshon, CuJo, and Milan names to be called in coming days.

Why not? Because he plays for Iowa and Korver didn’t?

Sandfort is an exact clone from a size and usage persecutive (slightly bigger, in all honesty). Korver had better shooting stats, but the line has been moved back since then too.
Holy **** that is an understatement to say Korver has better shooting stats. 45.3% from three for Korver vs 36.5% for Sandfort on 25% more attempts as well. For reference when the line moved back, average 3pt percent dropped something like 1-1.5%. Korver was a way better player even if they may be physically and stylistically similar

Korver could at least bench press the bar. No ******* way that weakling can play a lick of defense, or create his shot in the NBA.
