That "hard" slide easily could have broken his leg. It's not the first time Holliday has slid in like that though. I wouldn't call it a dirty slide but it shouldn't be legal. He started his slide once he got to the base, way too late. Even Joe Buck said so, and he's a huge Cardinals homer.

Meh, its playing the game hard. If the Giants didn't like it they could have chucked one at Holliday when he was at the plate.

Slide was hard but this is the postseason. He's not trying to hurt him, but every out and baserunner matters now. I like how hard he plays, for sure.

I like how McCarver is trying to invent controversy. Buck had to point out what dugout the Giants were in.

McCarver makes me vomit. He is telling us how slow Carp has been pitching today. Carp hasn't thrown 95 for a few years now. Only in certain circumstances does he ever throw that hard. He is 90-91 all day.

This is much easier to watch on Fox without Pitch Trax.

And crazy...that field is in better condition than Veenker has seen in YEARS!

Well for one the Giants don't have to deal with schleps like you hacking around there turf. I will agree on the stupid pitch tracks crap.

Just wait until I leave a cart sitting in the middle of a green for you to find

And last time I played the Veenk it was nice and soft so my divots came out clean and I was even nice enough to fix them for you.

Hunter Pence has the ugliest throwing motion in baseball.

Well that was nice of you becki. :swoon:

Great win for my Giants last night. No word yet on Scutaro's MRI today, although the x-ray was negative last night. I certainly hope the injury isn't as bad as it seems like it could be. Just heard on San Francisco's KNBR that he will "most likely" make the trip to STL with the team today, but no other information was available at this point.

Hoping the Cards take 2 of 3 at home and then finish off the Giants in Game 6. Ideally they would take the next 3 but I'm trying to be reasonable.

No. Ideally, the Giants will sweep just as they did in Cincinnati and claim their 5th straight playoff series win on the road. Although, I would settle for a series win at home for a change. You know, just to mix things up a bit.

Hoping Verlander comes out strong from the gate this evening. If the Yankees don't get to him early it's going to be a long night for them because he only gets better and stronger as the game goes on. Guy throws low-mid 90s in the early innings and accelerates to upper 90s-100s in the later innings. Just insane.

Oh - and I still don't understand why the Tigers use two completely different Olde English Ds - one for their cap, one for their jersey:
