I agree with you 100%
And the same could be said for Mutcherson. That's my whole point.
I'm asking the people saying Mutcherson has an 'attitude' problem if they are having qualms about this guy.

Mutcherson is on our roster right now. Demond Tucker is not even here yet. If Mutcherson has attitude problems, then I am sure they are being dealt with. Look at Rodney Coe for example and what happened. I expect that if Tucker has attitude problems they will be dealt with. But it is unfair to make allegations against him when he is not even on the team.

Not sure if you knew that Bill Fennelly suspended starting point guard Nikki Moody for a couple games early in the season for attitude problems. She is back on the team and doing well. Coaches and players have relationships that are not always perfect. And we have to trust our coaches to keep everything in perspective and do what is best for the team in the long run.

Atthe end of the day, the people that call themselves fans and then go and bashplayers on this forum don't know **** about sports. They either neverplayed sports, or were not very good at them. Confidence is EVERYTHING tothe individual, and one individual playing very well and having confidence caninfluence the rest of the team.

We sawwhat happened this year after we dismissed two of our best players for"attitude" problems, we sucked because of it. I get ISU hasmorals, but the fans that think this way, better get any thoughts of victoryout of their head, cause in the game of football, we need hard nose, aggressiveplayers. That means we need to be tolerant of the attitude that comeswith it. I am not saying we need to support criminal acts, or repeatoffenders. And we don't need to cover up rape scandals like FSU did withWinston. But somewhere in between being a bunch of Quaker prude *******,and the mother ****ers at FSU would be good.

Most DTs don't have "friendly environment" at the top of their list for dream schools, and if they do you probably don't want them. Also, I'm glad to see you putting that "top-knotch" education to good use, whatever that means.
Dude, go back to the Hawkeye board and quit posing.

ISU has a ton of great things to offer, including a fantastic and friendly environment with top-knotch academics. And yes, a coaching staff that consists of guys who care deeply about the program and the kids.

While I don't disagree with tolerance about attitude, I totally agree with CPR eliminating the cancer from within that Coe and Irvine brought. CPR leniency cost him several other players that quit at the end of last season because they were allowed to miss team meetings, show up to practice late, etc. without consequences. From my understanding, Mutcherson was going down the same path. The real question is will he learn from the mistakes he made this year, so he'll be able to perform to his potential next, or not! Attitude is about learning to play with a certain swagger or intensity, it's not about not following team rules, etc. The attitude that I'm special therefore I don't need to follow the same rules as everyone else is not conducive to team results. I know everyone can relate to this type of person, everyone has had to deal with a similar type person, soon you resent that person and eventually stop back that person up. Some may even go as far as setting the person up to fail, or in the case of football, get hurt.

With football team, everyone is in it together from the star to the lowly walk on specialist. If you don't treat everyone the same, i.e. enforce the same rules, the team will soon cease to function as a team. One may wonder if this year was still a bit of a hang over from last year, where everyone was not treated the same????

No ****. He says he expects to be an impact player and an instant starter and people jump to the conclusion that he has an "attitude problem". What do you people want him to say? He's instantly our most talented defensive lineman the second he steps on campus.

Yeah, I don't get that. Especially since those were, I'm 100% confident, verbatim statements made by our coaches to him during his recruitment.

You guys are not reading my statements in context. But whatever, I'm done trying to make my point. I hope Tucker, Mutcherson and the rest of them are all on the field causing havoc next fall.

Maybe I am miss reading something here, but as far as I am concerned, if this guy doesn't think he is going to be a starter, why the hell would he come to ISU? Clearly if he wanted to play at a higher profile program, he had the opportunity to do so. Besides a health Cousins, I don't see anyone that looks beyond a serviceable 2nd stringers on the current roster of DL. Now maybe these guys are ****** that ISU is trying to recruit over them and will make great strides in the off-season, which would definitely be a win win for the clones. The real question here is, who on the current roster would start instead of this guy?

Since the Mutcherson thread got derailed into a Desmond Tucker thread (Welcome Desmond!! Go get that starting job!), the real question should be...

...Is that a white helmet in his twitter avatar photo?!?!!
(or a hard hat?)

Some people on here are a little dense. I was hoping most folks could see what you were insinuating with your comments, but it sure hasn't worked out that way. Just so you know, I totally understand what you were going for there, and it did resonate with me.

You would think after having a kid decommit specifically because of some comments made on this board, some of you would have a little more common sense and not make comments that might push recruits or current players away from the program. Especially with the fragile state that our football program is currently in. I guess I thought wrong.

C'mon. It's not like that guy was good enough to wind up all conference or anything.

Oh, wait...
