Lone Star Reports (texas.rivals.com) have Quan West ranked as the fifth best WR in Texas (class of 2012).
Bingo!Who cares about his speed, i hope with that size he has Velcro like hands.
So, it isn't posted yet but I wrote a little deal on the offense about what we needed. Outside of continuing to build depth on the line my biggest need was a big outside receiver similar to what Marquis was. This it. Either that or he will be a pass catching tight end like Franklin. Either way, it's a guy we could use. I was a big fan of Cedric Gilbert last year for that position but I think this is better. He's not a blazer and IMO, probably won't be your superstar but he is guy who will compliment guys like a Teddy Lampkin or Jarvis West if he lines up outside or if he is a TE split out. Also, 4.65 is fast enough to be effective when you are 6'4 and probably 220 by the time you play.
People magazine has him ranked as the 12th most eligible WR in Texas.Competition-Who can find Quan Smith ranked the lowest in Texas.
I never said I didn't like him. I love his size but he's just on the slower side if that number is accurate.
I track it on an excel spreadsheet and I have an aggregate in the meantime until ToY gets his website updated. My list includes rankings from the FAB 55 (247), LSR (Ketch), Old Coach, Scout 300, ESPN, Gig 'Em 247 and Luicci's 44.
