ok, ok. I am just so tired of 5'7 corners I would like to see one that is 6'2 or around there just to balance it out. I hope he pans out and is a great player.

Hey Dodo, the Chiefs only have 2 DB's and thats including Safeties who are 6'2. Both are Rookies who most likely won't see the field at all.

Just a bit of comparison for you and the likelihood of ISU ever having 6'2 DB's.

Criticizing the guy for wanting tallish DBs is stupid, he makes a good point. Also, whoever said that there are few tall DBs because they would be made into WRs is right too. Corners honestly can't be very tall because to have the kind of quickness, acceleration and hip turning ability necessary to play d1 corner, you can't be much taller than 5' 11".

Look at the 100m in track. All of those guys are 5'10" and 180 and absolutely jacked. Then there's Bolt who's 6'5" and no one has ever been like him before.

Micah Hyde for Iowa is a tall Corner/DB. He's 6'3" and pretty overrated IMO.

Micah Hyde is not 6'1 and projects as a safety in the NFL. The best corners are the ones that are 6'0 6'1 and have elite quickness but those type are few and far between. I would say most college CBs are 5'10 on average.

They must be wanting a lot of DBs in this class because I think they are in top 3-5 of a about 3 or 4 more DBs

I'm not really busting on the guy for wanting tallish DBs. I am busting on him for saying that even 5'10 is too short. He also seems to be out of touch with the stature of college CBs. He seems to want every CB ISU signs to be Antonio Cromartie. 6'2 211 with a 4.38 forty.

My point is that D.A. looks good. STARZ AND OFFERZZZ!

I think he will be a very solid player for us.

Beating out Vandy for this kid is impressive. They have been doing a great job in picking up quality recruits.

Okay maybe not, but I'm 6'5" and I've stood next to him. He seemed taller than 6'1". And my point about him is that he's a tall DB and an unconventional one. He looks and plays more like a receiver. His athletic ability and ball skills remind me of a WR. Point being, 5'10" DBs are common and typically solid

another undersized corner in a league with huge receivers. My last girlfriend was 5'10 for crying out loud. hopefully he has a 50 inch vertical and can run a 4.3 or I don't see what the big deal is.
Top receivers in 2011 for each Big12 Team:

Baylor - Kendall Wright 5' 10"
Kansas - DJ Beshears 5' 9"
Kansas St - Chris Harper 6' 1"
Okie State - Justin Blackmon 6' 1"
Oklahoma - Ryan Broyles 5' 11"
TCU - Josh Boyce 6' 0"
Texas - Mike Davis 6' 2"
Texas Tech - Eric Ward 6' 0"
WVU - Tavon Austin 5' 9"

Someone want to tell me what's wrong with a 5'10 DB when more than half of the leading receivers in the conference last year are 6ft or under?

I thought the Big 12 was playing with 10 teams this year...

But I should take 2 inches off that, right?
