If we would have won a couple more games earlier (Gonzaga, Texas and a few other other we let slip away, we would likely been a 4 seed..... which means we play a 5 seed today. Same difference. WHEN we get to the sweet 16, how much fun would it be to pay Sparty back with a home game of our own? Or take down KU a mere 45 minutes from their home?

I really hope we get next week to keep talking about our chances as we migrate to KC.

Two days ago all Cy fans were anxious about playing a #12 seed. Today, vs the #4 seed, the posts and anxiety are gone. Time to get nervous!

To me that's was because we (collectively) we're afraid of a UAB type effort. Seeing them dialed in that's no longer a worry.

UAB fiasco is gone and dead. It died when the team went to the S16 last year. The rest of the games are about executing and handling adversity.

+ Our FT% seems to be trending up, even though we don't get to the line much.
+ Purdue could beat us bad on ribbies, including offensive rebounds, and we still win.
+ don't mean to overstate the obvious, but don't want to see Burton & Young get two first half fouls, our four total early in 2nd half.
+ they have 3-4 guys who are > 40% from trey; not all inside game.

I said earlier that I thought the committee wanted to see a Kansas/ISU matchup in KC for attendance and ratings. I also think that they really considered us a 4 seed, but made a concession to put us in the Midwest (especially Milwaukee) to reward our late season push...
