Honestly, I suppose I do find discussions about "What went wrong?" more interesting than "Are we great or what?" More positively, Those seniors did have an epic four years, Monte is one of the best PG's ISU has ever had, and we have some good talent coming up. I'm unsure of how much of this year's success was coaching and how much was great senior leadership. We will see next year. If we make the tournament again next year, there will be no denying that Prohm is getting it done.

I live in Iowa Falls and that embarrasses me, this town has had some big issues with sportsmanship of late so its not too surprising though.
I agree with Monte that he is the best pg this year but a better answer in pre game press conference would be we are focusing on beating purdue only. That would have jived a little more with staying humble. In hindsight maybe they were trying too hard to stay relaxed. Maybe a better strategy would be to see how mad you can get.
Swanigan 3 point shooting was the difference. Purdue stepped up and won the game. ISU just did not do quite enough to win.
In hindsight Prohm should have dictated the offense more early on once it was decided we are shooting a bit cold. Its hard because its like well I don't want to interfere if they are about to get hot. I thought some bad habits from earlier in the season crept in during Nevada and Purdue games. Our offense just ran so crisp in KC but in the NCAA tourney not so much.
