I'll admit this one hurts more than usual as we FINALLY got back to being ranked and playing basketball like we are capable of playing. I realize this is life in the Big 12, but crap, the timing of this, and the way it happened (see numerous ref posts) stings.

The timing makes sense to me.

Young, undefined team 'finds it' in Hilton on a Saturday, has to turn around and play in a half-empty arena that ISU rarely wins in, and that team hits like they usually don't.

With Hoiberg unemployed and hanging out in Chicago waiting to get back into coaching, Prohm better figure out ways to win these games. If we collapse and miss the tournament we are going to see an awful fan base, asking for donors and Pollard to hire Hoiberg back.

We really needed to rip off a 2 minute, 8-0 run somewhere in the middle of the 2nd half to shift the tempo in our favor.

Where was Jacobson during the last couple of minutes of the game? Only two fouls, but sitting on the bench. Doesn’t make sense.

Solo was doing a better job of denying the ball to Clark than Jacobson, he brought him in for offense when he had the chance.

Pretty sure we are young with guys playing their second big xii road game. BU also beat Arizona and Oregon. They are talented.

That would be much easier too stomach but they were talking how Baylor was one of the youngest teams in the conference right now. No excuse for losing down there.

Yes, his energy was having an affect on the game. Aside of 3 minute stretch I thought young did a decent job defensively.

I don’t care if it’s Prohm or Hoiberg. Seems to me they can get us to about the same level of achievement. But if we miss the tournament you will see this fan base turn of Prohm very quickly. Having Hoiberg available is not good for his job security, if we miss the tournament this year. If we make it he’ll be fine.
