Anybody else gotten to the point where they are ignoring just about everything said by anybody other than Jeremy?

I find myself just skimming the thread to see if he has posted anything else. And I've pretty much stopped reading reports by any traditional journalists on this subject. It seems that Jeremy has info no one has (or at least that no one else is reporting) and he does it from a perspective of what Cyclones want to know. I really appreciate it.

This makes the most sense to me and I believe is what will happen. Wouldn't be surprised if Carol and the kids stayed in Ames for the normalcy factor

Yeah, because Jeremy is a reliable reporting source on all things ISU BBall... The Rob Jeter era for ISU BBall sure was a short one.

Hoiberg is at State track right now.

10 dollars for whoever goes up with phone video running and ask him where he will be coaching next year.

No I'm ignoring Jeremy and CW and any other reliable media source and just trusting random message board poster's sources instead. If anything contradicts those, I just assume they must be lying for some reason.

Anyone have kids going to ISU Mens Basketball camp? My brother has a couple of boys signed up and all of the previous correspondence for the camp called it something along the lines of Fred Hoibergs basketball camp. My brother got some correspondence on it yesterday and they were now calling it ISU Mens Basketball camp, with no mention of Hoiberg anywhere.

Maybe he won't be doing as much with the camp as usual because he had open heart surgery...

I wonder if Fred will sign Royce White next year in Chicago. I heard he has been working out for a comeback (or a start). He is the only coach that kid can play for it seems

IIRC, I have never seen it referred to as Fred Hoibergs BBall camp only ISU BBall camp.

I called it first - Hoiberg would rather wait for Flip to retire and go to the Twin Cities than reside in the ****-hole that is Chicago.

Anyone checked Applebee's lately, are they still offering the Hoiburger? I expect it coming off the menu will be the primary indicator that 'he gone'.

Really, the best way to do it is to accept anything that you want to hear as absolute fact and dismiss anything you don't want to hear as completely baseless.

Gotta agree...anything less than Fred saying he will be here for multiple years is probably death for recruiting after the way Hoiberg has let this spiral out of control......

It is truly crazy how much damage he's doing to his "dream" job. We're essentially waiting for an NBA front office, that has proven to be mediocre at best, incompetent at worst, to try to get compensation for a coach they hated, and were ready to cut ties with.

Meanwhile, any additional pieces that could have strengthened next year's team are lost because of this. Then, after losing a huge chunk of this dream team, he's made sure future recruiting is at an absolute stand still.

Now after all of this damage he's inflicted on the future of the iowa state basketball program, we hear he may not take this job that has cost us potential important pieces to what could be a great team. Instead he may come back next year, but then leave the cupboard about as bare as he found it when he leaves for Minnesota the next year.

If that doesn't scream loyal son and dream job, I don't know what else possibly could. Sarcasm

Pollard wants TJ. That much is obvious. I don't think that will satisfy this fanbase. So we're back to being iowa state.

In the long run, these two weeks are not doing any damage to the ISU Mens Basketball program. Fred was going to leave sometime. Him leaving would hurt the program, regardless of whether it was today or 4 years from now. So while this limbo may be painful in the moment, it's not causing long term damage in any way.

Unfortunately it's best for the program LONG TERM that Fred leave this year and we HOPEFULLY have a **** load of success under our new head coach.

My opinion is the opposite even if it means he is the Twolves coach and not the Bulls coach. Otz has never been a head coach. Fred went .500 as a new coach.
