Field in western Iowa worked in the spring went 40 bu. / acre. Early rain and then nothing. Other reports no- till crops same as last year( above average yields). Ran into Down pour on way home west of Atlantic.It’s spotty. Hearing 130-265.

Yeah a guy south of crystal lake was over 5 inches of rain. Forest city got hammered I heard.Guarantee NC Iowa got a lot more than an inch. Most places up here I would guess saw 2-3 at least

But no 5 inches at your place?Yeah, we drove through FC when it was coming down the hardest. Lots of flash flooding. Kinda figured there were areas that got 5+ inches.

Seems odd that where I live is in the orange as we've had pretty consistent rain and my grass had finally started to go dormant when we had a couple healthy rains again. Probably had to mow more this year than I have in the 15 years I've been at this house.

Free and extremely easy to report with the app. The data is used for a number of uses including NWS forecasts/reports.What I have been told on this site is that it doesn't matter unless you are an "official" reporting site. You and the majority of the county you live in might be doing just fine. But if the "official" reporting site is dry..........well then by golly, by george you are in a drought.
