Ended up with 2.55 for June. Friend in Story City ended up with over 6. I would trade them places.
Think it officially said we got 1.5 inches but for us specifically, I think it's maybe half that. The heaviest rain day they show (.65) I watched it skirt us to the south. I even went on a walk trying to tempt it to rain on me with no dice.
We've been watering perennials and trees planted last year...need to go look but a dogwood in the ground since 2016? 2017? Was looking limp, watered it last night. We've been watering the garden since May. Dh has sprinklers going for that and then rotates a couple around to give other trees and plants a hit every 2-3 days which means most of the yard gets a spritz here and there. the areas that don't are very brown. 90+ through Wednesday before the next chance at a half inch.Shoot that's not much for even keeping yards, trees, shrubs, garden and flowers going.
This could get interesting for all involved....Ended up with 2.55 for June. Friend in Story City ended up with over 6. I would trade them places.

It's interesting that I rode my bike up our road Friday and saw a field that it took me a minute to realize it wasn't sorghum but corn rolled up so tightly. But the other side of the road was still nicely leafed out.
Me six times this afternoon just to hit the most important and/or wilting stuff. Will drag out the sprinklers in a day or so if we don't get some actual ran in the next couple of days. I am guessing no rain cause the weather gods hate us.

I read this as you hadn’t mowed since June of 2021. I was trying to picture that.Haven't mowed since June 6th. 2021 went from June 4 to August 11 without mowing. 2022 went from June 24 to August 24.
Drought redux. Meet the new drought, same as the old drought.
Started keeping track as a little joke a few years ago with farmer friend. Told him I was going to do runtime on my mower. Old Craftsman mower but only takes 15 minutes to do mini-yard so "runtime" for the year has been clocking in at 1.25 hours/year.

Yes it would, lol.Well, that would be sort of like your neighbors lawn, am I right?
I don’t like tornadoes but I do love me some thunder and lightning.
Doesn’t look like it’s going to be muchView attachment 114148
