Our sump pump rarely runs, so when heard the water trickling in and the hum of the motor running, it was beautiful music to my ears.

In Urbandale - rain gauge was bone dry at 5:30-ish this morning - I went out to check cause I was hoping we got hit last night. Wind,thunder,heavy rain hit around 5:45 or so. Pretty much over by 6:30. Had just over an inch in 45 minutes or so.
My recycling bin was in the street when I went to go to work. Scooped it all back up and hoping that the next round didn't knock it over again.
2.25" in the first AM round.

About what we got in central West Des Moines. Pouring right now in the Valley West area.
Pouring for 2 straight hours. Looks like the entire state is in for a good rain day today
Holy ****, we're actually going to get real rain.
Welcomed the 2" of rain at my house. Did not welcome the 1" hail that came with it. Norwalk. Thankfully most were smaller than this.
I don't think it was all that big, but it made a racket for about 10 minutes. I think part of that was wind driving it into the bedroom window.
