I wonder how many made the trip. Historically, it seems like someone usually come off the visitors bench for about 30, when they are missing a starter. Hopefully not tonight

Honestly not a fan of this. I would rather face them at full strength or close to it. If they're only dressing 7 or 8 players that's the only thing that will be talked about from this game.

In the eyes of the nation, the AP, basically everyone but local beat writers and forums, it'll be a win against a top 25 team and will look good at the end of the season

For reference, this is the production TTU “could / will” be missing tonight:

Terrance Shannon 14.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.2apg
Kevin McCullar 13.5ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.5apg
Mylik Wilson 4.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 3.3apg
Daniel Batcho 3.8ppg, 4.9rpg, .8apg
Sardaar Calhoun 3.5ppg, .9rpg, .5apg
Chibuzo Agbo 2.1ppg, 1.8rpg, .1apg
Austin Timperman - Has no stats

So they’re potentially going to be missing their top two leading scorers / best players, top two leading rebounders, their tallest post player (Batcho), and their leading assist man.

We have GOT to capitalize on this opportunity. Their bench is going to be extremely limited.

Man, we gotta get off ESPNU. I have streaming access to all ESPN options EXCEPT ESPNU. Frustrating.
Yeah I've only got espn+. Seems like that allows me to see only a little more (maybe) than half our games live. The others are on the 'u' or '2' or something else (longhorn network (gad, not going to mis them/TX).

I agree that getting the win is what's important, but I was kind of looking forward to this as a measuring stick game. If TT is missing half the team, including the best players, not so much, other than demonstrating the focus and maturity to bury a short-handed opponent at home.

They'll be forced in to throwing the walkons out there tonight.

Tech may be playing very short handed. Could be missing McCullar and WILL be missing Shannon.

There are hundreds of college basketball games a week, no one will be talking about this game outside of Texas Tech and ISU to begin with.

I don't care if they have to roll out the cheerleaders as long as ISU wins.

But, but...how are their 'student managers'!

I'm concerned.

I think / hope we may have gotten the measuring stick game vs. Baylor

Yeah, it's hard getting back to CR at 12:30-1am. Especially when it's -10F. And then get up at 6 for work.

My tix are for sale, cheap. I am bummed though, not just for missing game, but also the Amazing Sladek. Never been more scared for the safety of another human being, than watching that old SOB climb a stack of chairs. It's insane.
If this guy is 'playing' at halftime, should be a great show! Worth the price of admission right there.

Agreed but we need to have this as a win tonight so if that means getting it shorthanded on their side, so be it.

It was good for the WBB game Sun. Sorry I can't give a more current update.

Given that ISU was forced to make up every game last year (while Baylor conveniently got 4 games off), undermanned, and was effectively the sacrificial lamb so other teams could pad their win total, I no longer give a **** how many players the opponent has available. Make 'em play.

Getting through covid and the conference season is just going to be part of things. Some teams will get luckier than others. I mean Texas played a KSU team last night with only 7 guys and without their top two coaches. Given that everyone is in the same boat, I don't care how decimated the opponent is. Just get the win because there may come a time when ISU is down guys.
