Unfortunately I can't go.

I just learned that Nichols closed in 2007. It was between Westport and a buddy's place where we used to stay. Great times stopping at Nichols for some breakfast complete with grits after drinking the night away at Kelly's or Buzzard Beach.

It has been way too long since we made it down to the tourney.

Years ago, my brother (who is another die-hard Clone fan and alum) and I would spend the entire FRIDAY watching every game in the first round of the Big 8 tournament. Spend the whole day at Kemper watching great b-ball. I called him last night and said I'm coming down to KC on Wednesday. Take Thursday and Friday off. This is the best ISU team we've seen in a long time - don't want to miss it. We're going to scalp each day. Planning on watching the Clones knock off KU on Saturday!!!

Wife and I are heading down tomorrow, spending the first night at the Ameristar Hotel (all nighter), and then going downtown Wednesday (The Majestic Restaurant), watching some women's games, drinking that night, and watching the Clones kick some Texas butt on Thursday (I still blame them for OUR conference shambles).

Well.....I am still up and the Ameristar treated me well. I am probably going to have to stay up now. Good thing our teams don't play on Wednesday!!!

Hey, I told the wife we were going down if/when the Clones beat Texas Thursday night. Not sure she knows I am serious, but I am. Can't come for that game, but if we are still playing we could make Friday and Saturday's games. Will it be any problem getting tickets Friday afternoon for the night game? Just go to the Sprint Center and see who is scalping? Any suggestions?

I heard on the KC news this morning that tickets for the championship game could go for $1500 a piece if MU and KU are the teams. I am sure these would be good seats, but they will still be quite a bit.

Well, if it is MU vs KU in the championship I probably won't go. Only really be interested in the ISU games. Hopefully I can get reasonable tickets when I get down there.

If the Cyclones don't make the finals you can always watch it from the comfort of your own Kelly's.

Me and a buddy leaving at noon on Thursday from Des Moines. Hitting P&L till game time. Looks like tix are $100-$200 for decent tix. Gonna try to scalp nearing game time. Any suggestions on reasonable price to pay for 100 level? Last year we sat mid court 100 level for $100 each. Is that still possible?
