How many years of eligibility will this guy have? Looks like he will be ready to play right away and would be huge considering our lack of depth in the front court next year.

Per Corey Evans Twitter: Iowa State, Maryland, Gw, and Providence here for 2016 SPI big man Cheickna Dembele and the Bill Crothers program #npsi

ISU watching Dembele again. Hopefully we've found ourselves a nice under the radar big.

With the list of schools...I mean, what's our chances? I know we have a lot to offer, especially playing time, but its been hard to pull in some big fish lately. Let me guess...he has ties to some AAU coach who is related to the wife of an assistant at Providence and has offered him the comforts of life. jk

While it looks like he could be a steal this kid is far from what I'd consider a "big fish". And while a lot of schools are looking at him and may offer soon, St Joe's and ISU are his only offers at the moment.

ISU would be an ideal situation for a post recruit like this, but it's been really hard convincing kids of that recently.

This would hardly be considered a big fish. Could he be good. Yep but right now he is an unranked player with two offers

This is his first year in the US so he's just an unknown to pretty much everyone. Not saying he'd be ranked if he was here for longer but it would have helped. Similar to Malou when he was at ABCD. Even some people in Iowa had no idea who Malou was.

A 6'11 athlete who is new to the game with a lot of upside would be perfect for ISU. Maybe he can be our new Cato in time :-0

Interesting I could see Prohm and staff touching base with Romello (after this weekend of course).

@GoodmanESPN Georgia Tech has fired Brian Gregory.

@raphiellej How long before other programs start reaching out to 4-star F Romello White? Signed to Georgia Tech.

Short updates on Maker and Moore.

@EvanDaniels: Hot Board: Updates on the 20 available top 100 prospects | Who's announcing? | Story: https://t.co/AnjkYjZAtj https://t.co/f0Cpb5Pgs4

Thon Maker, Scout’s No. 5 recruit in the 2016 class, won’t be making a college choice during the early signing period, his guardian Ed Smith told Scout. Smith also told Scout late Sunday evening that Arizona State, Indiana and Notre Dame were the schools pursuing Maker the hardest. He mentioned that Kentucky and Oregon were on the “peripheryâ€￾.

Charlie Moore -- is working towards his college choice and is expected to come to a decision during the early signing period, Chicago (Ill.) Morgan coach Nick Irvin told Scout. Moore has taken official visits to California, VCU and Memphis. Iowa State has also been actively recruiting the 5-foot-11 lead guard. Moore, who runs with the Mac Irvin Fire, was one of the biggest risers coming out of the July evaluation period.

wonder if Charlie will open his recruitment back up with Damon Stoudamire and now Josh Pastner leaving.

Unless Monte were to leave there's no reason for us to care. Well, unless there is more attrition than anyone expects.

I got the feeling that we were recruiting Charlie Moore but weren't ready to take him this fall. If Monte were to leave, I could see us checking back with him to see how he feels.

Wonder no more. With ISU's current a scholly situation I am not sure if there'll be serious interest. Then again a lot can change in the next couple of weeks and Prohm was prioritizing him in the summer.

@michaelsobrien Charlie Moore will reopen his recruitment if Josh Pastner leaves Memphis according to MP coach Nick Irvin

(Wouldn't be suprised to see Iowa put the full court press with their position and history with him tho)
