This has to stop. People are so dumb.

Sorry, but the phenomenon of in-group favoritism has been the subject of a vast amount of research involving social psychology and the empirical method of investigation. Considering all the psychological variables, your suggestion that coaches are not prone to or subject to the social influence is incongruent with all published findings and implies you are either suffering from diminished mental acuity and/or languish uneducated ignorance.

I think it is dumb to think that the thought doesn't cross a Chicago kids head. Of course it does. And playing at ISU does give him some advantage (albeit still small in the grand scheme of things) with the Bulls if that is his dream team to play for if none other than Hoiberg will be watching our games more than the typical college.

ISU has zero guys in the NBA. Gonzaga has 6, Georgetown 11.

I highly doubt the NBA thing is an advantage for ISU.

Fortunately our new coach has some credibility at getting people there though.

Yeah I don't disagree, but it doesn't mean that Fred as the coach of the bulls has no value to a Chicago kid. Sure other programs have things that are more valuable, doesn't change my point.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, but don’t often anticipate an intelligent discourse since, for some CFs, this is little more than an electric Romper Room.

If he hasn't committed and there are no known favorites there is always a chance. That said, no one has heard anything aside from some random rumors. conventional wisdom says it is not very likely to happen.

Kostas still on the board? Thought we had no chance. What did you hear?

Does anyone even know if he's a legit d1 player?

That's nice, but I'm not sure "in-group favoritism" applies to this case.
