Epperson, I haven't heard him mentioned in a while. Last I heard he took a visit somewhere but can't recall where. Sounds like a project and we are looking for more immediate impact guys for the most part.

Saw on a friends FB page that Bill Self was in Council Bluffs tonight, all they knew was he was in town recruiting an Iowa Western player. Safe to say its Lake?
I really want Juiston, so if he goes to Kansas, and ends up being good, I'm gonna be really pissed.

I did some quick research, and near as I can tell, Self has only ever signed ONE Juco player, Mario Little back in 2008. Some different territory for Bill.
He also signed Tyrone Appleton. A 4-star guard who, ironically was also being recruited by Iowa State.

I'm not saying Self is doing this to keep us from getting them but I'm not saying he isn't either.
Help me understand why he'd need Lake or Juiston? He's got Preston, Lightfoot, Bragg, Azuibuke and Coleby. I don't get it.
I remember I wanted Tyrone Appleton bad. Was so sad when he decided on KU. Then he basically sucked and got very little playing time. We will get some good players. Hopefully Lake and Juiston. IF Self is sniffing around them and we get them. I will assume we got some good ones.
JUCO recruiting is so hit or miss, especially in the Spring
Preston: may not be a sure thing to qualify (mentioned earlier in the thread)
Azuibuke: broken hand this year. Never know how those heal up
Bragg: seems like he's a ticking time bomb off the court
While they appear to have depth next year, as you've pointed out, that may be just an illusion
