This team is special folks. Sit back and enjoy this ride cause what we have here is eerily similar to our 2000 team.

At the risk of getting in to a protracted debate over this, I don't think those two teams are all that similar. Certainly not eerily so.

I know the players wanted UAB but the win over a Big 10 school will look better on the resume in March.
This. Beating a bad UAB team by 50 isn't going to erase what happened last year. Beating 3 P5 schools our in our first 5 wins looks way better on paper.

Agreed. Know who you are and what your strengths are. He doesn't necessarily draw a double team but kick it out if you have to make more than 2 moves to get a good shot.

He can improve his game as far as rim protector goes. A lot of times he is out of position and must swat at the ball.

Didn't seem all that neutral based on my TV, but I get what you are saying.

ISU fans can't help it Va Tech fans suck. I left out Illinois because there were times in that game that they made just as much noise as ours did.

But really, geographically speaking, ISU was at the biggest disadvantage for fans traveling.

I think we got ILs best shot, and they petered out, as they played fast and loose for 3/4 of the game. We kept pushing and it paid off.

IL may end up being a good big10 team, but either way our non con should look very good come March.

I think Illinois will end up being a pretty good team by year's end. Lewis, Hill and Thorne all seem like really good players. That Nunn dude was a stud. And I think Nunn was out for that Chattanooga loss, wasn't he?

As long as they can stay healthy, they've got some good pieces on that team.

Surely McKay knows that sometimes matchups dictate who plays and sometimes you need to have people who can shoot free throws on the floor, or else it is going to be a long season.
