So the tournament should just go back to what, 48, 54 teams?
Glad to see the guys fought back and made a game of it. Call me a bad fan but after the way Wednesday's game ended and the way this one started, scoring 4 points in the first 10 minutes, I had to turn it off and just go do something else.

That was a nice moral victory tonight after the way the game started. Iowa State will beat Texas Tech on Thursday if they compete like they did in the second half.
You’re trying way too hard here. Iowa State’s resume is worthy of an NCAA bid.
If it weren’t, the media would be all over it. Notice not one media source doesn’t think Iowa State is in.
Sorry, but what the majority here are saying isn't OPINION...it's a factual position based on data. This isn't some sort of free-floating opinion-fest based on who gets into the tournament. There's a data driven rationale. You can disagree with the rationale, but it doesn't make you right.
Ends up we lost for the same reasons we always do....we got killed on the boards, and got killed at the line. Just very hard to win you be a bad offensive team and not rebound IR shoot free throws.
Yep not popular, unfortunately ISU cannot play in a bad conference like the ACC was this year.
However, they blew out both Xavier on a neutral court #8 in the Big East, and Memphis #3 in the AAC, they beat the number 4 team in the Big East confernce on the road, blew out the #4 team in the Big 10.
They caught a break playing Mizzou, but they blew them out.
So when pitted agains 3 of the upper echelon teams of what is probably considered some of the better hoops conferences out there they won them.
Of all the conferences out there is only 1 has all of its teams with a Net of 80 or better.
Fortunately now when they pick teams they treat the season as the season and do not get caught up in conference records like years ago.
The ACC should not be granted a bunch of berths because some of the okay teams fatten up on a bunch of bad teams. But in your selection process of conference record trumping the first part of the season they would.

I feel lucky that I actually turned the game on when it was 29-4. Totally missed everything bad. What was the issue?
