You realize that it it hadn’t been for mistakes by the PLAYERS, we would have scored about 35 points? Against a really good defense?

Genius.
I understand that players did make mistakes. However manning does not put our 1st year starter QB is very good situations at times.
Fumble at the 1 - we have a long strong QB why not sneak from under center. That’s his call
2nd INT - you just ran for 14 yards on the first play then threw the ball 3 times putting him in a tough spot and you’re right he made a bad decision but once again that’s your play calling putting him in tough spots.

I thought they called a good game. There were some very close calls that couldn't be made for certain on replay. I thought they were much better than the Texas refs,

Refs in Texas game were unfathomably bad. One particular call was among worse I’ve seen in years. Didn’t affect the game but just a giant wtf that it was called.

Great perspective! How many of these ugly games has Iowa held over us for so many years. We'll just take the win and be happy with a 2-0 record.
Same point I was going to make. Iowa has pulled several out of their asses in the last 6 years. You don't hear them badmouthing those wins. Take the W and CELEBRATE! It's a Cyclone STATE again!

**I'll edit this to add that if there was anybody here that thought we might go out and get 4-5 scores on these guys you were dreaming.
“Dreaming”? We had two scores. Count how many more we would have had except for our own turnovers.

Texas refs took away a safety, and you think it was inconsquential in a close game?

I’m actually pretty excited about the potential for this team if we can just play smarter and quit self destructing.

We doubled Iowa in passing yds, rushing yds, and ran 26 more plays. It was a dominating performance folks. Just have to clean up the stupid mistakes and I think we’re pretty darn salty.

Go back through Campbell era and put every team at 3-0 start. It gets pretty otherworldly vs ISU historic results.

Need to pi$$ pound Ohio.

You are right, on second down we absolutely should be QB sneaking from the half yard line with Dekkers. Every time. He’s a big mobile QB. That’s a better call than the shotgun handoff.
