Forgive those that are disappointed that we finally made a bowl game, but we're going to play a G5 team on the road.
I am so jealous of everyone going to this! I already booked my New Years plans in Denver, but I know that a committed and enthusiastic Cyclone Nation will turn Memphis into a Cardinal and Gold town, taking the 'home field' advantage away. So incredibly happy that this batch of seniors gets one last game together. They have been through so much, have given so much, and I know that the coaching staff will get them ready to end their careers on an incredibly high note. Way to go Cyclones!!
Pass on the non con mid major road game in December.

I understand the disappointment. It is not my first choice either.
But on the bright side this bowl is a later meaning more practices. It is nationally televised on ABC. It is within reasonable driving distance. Also it is not around Christmas which would have made travel more difficult/expensive for many if it involved flying.
I look at this bowl game as a potential stepping stone for what this team is capable of next year.
Also, it is not like ISU FB is blessed with a bowl game every year. Maybe next year ISU will be blessed with 3 postseason games

I had a great time in Tempe vs Minnesota. So much fun in Tempe’s bar area, and we were wearing T-shirts. Ppl from there thought it was cold, but compared to Ames it was nice. Would go to Phoenix anytime for a bowl.
The only thing I don't like is playing Memphis in Memphis. Had we played Memphis in Orlando, Id be excited. Had we played Missouri in Memphis, Id be excited. Oh well, ill move on.

This is the right attitude. Let's crush this and put an exclamation point on the season. I'm unable to attend the game, but I will be enthusiastically watching a team that beat a team now playing for the national championship.
Super excited to see Memphis painted in Cardinal and Gold, enjoy some BBQ, and watch these seniors as Cyclones one last time.
While I went to Memphis last time (bad game) and I hate the thought of Memphis getting a home game and we play yet another road game, I’ll be there again to watch us win this game. We are way overdue for some good things to happen after the way this regular season has ended and get 2018 football rolling with some major momentum. And needless to say, I’ll have a drink for you while I’m down there. Hell, I might even have 2 or 10 drinks for everyone that can’t/won’t go.

I hope this thread is sufficient to handle all the complaining. Next week, as we shift into actual bowl preparation, I hope those of you who are disappointed can just let it go or at least stop saying the same gripes over and over.
You're lucky as MANY claim they can't come down off their pedestal to take you up on the offer...
I assume that means you are going to be in attendance?
Typical draw would be staying at home watching other teams play in bowls
