I would do dirty, dirty things to win this one.

Agreed, this is a huge game for ISU.

Win and we just need to run even with KU over the next 6 in order to enter the last day of the season with a chance to win the Big 12 (when KU goes to OU and could give us a game on them).

And even if we don't end up winning the conference, a win here puts us in a much better spot to finish 2nd and get the 2 seed in Kansas City.

This would be a huge win for ISU. ISU needs to rebound and defend if they are going to win. I want to see BDJ on Hield.

I just want to go on record that if ANYONE leaves Hield to go double the post, and they kick out to him for the open three, I am going to go all Elvis like and shoot my TV!

Definitely taking the over

I wouldn't be so quick to jump on the over tonight simply because it's such a public bet. That being said the number will trend upwards as the day goes on so if you like it I would put it in now. By tip tonight it'll be somewhere near 148 or 149.

Iowa State averages 79ppg
Oklahoma averages 72ppg
Total: 151

Oklahoma @ Home Averages 74.26
Iowa State is averaging 74ppg on the road in their 4 conference games this year and has a record of 1-3.
Total: 148

One thing I will say is that if you look closer into those games there's been a ton of points scored in the last 5 minutes of those games. Whether it be because of fouling so that we can give ourselves a chance to come back (Kansas + Tech) or whether it be a game that's been called extremely tight (@WVU and @Baylor)

Lastly, I went back 5 years and looked at all the games against OU and we've only been held to under 70 points one time and we still scored 69. Different players obviously but the games were still all pretty close in score and averaged close to 150 ppg.

Good Luck with whatever you do- I'll sit back and cheer for an ISU victory no matter the score.

I've got a bad feeling about this one. Oklahoma is playing well and on a nice streak right now. And Lon can coach. I just have a bad feeling we are going to have one of those cold, off nights that dooms us from the start. Somebody post something to make me feel better.

Lol, I was just saying that, I don't actually bet or anything, and if I did it would be with beer not money. Good analysis though.

Huge game, probably biggest game of year for us outside of Boo U.

Couple of weeks ago I had this one written off. Not so sure now. Really like the consistent, significant improvement of McSwat from week to week. I think he is exactly the type of player that can neutralize Spangler. Also expect the return of the Road Dawg Nader.

We have to win this game or we are drawn into dogfight at middle of the pack

I fear that Hield is going to be unconscious behind the arc, OU comes up with all the boards and loose balls, and our boys have one of their patented cold starts that they can't recover from. I hope I'm wrong.

Oklahoma doesn't foul much so we won't need to shoot many FTs :jimlad:

OU has one of the best defenses in the country this year per kenpom, but it's hard for me to believe they've improved that much while adding Thomas. Hopefully ISU can get a bunch of transition buckets and have Nader go off.
