Lima was absolutely abolishing any living organism in his way, and then taking the second one for a late night snack. That kid is a pro.
Purdy's dual threat skill set probably makes more of the playbook possible and probably makes the OL's job a bit easier. Also, giving up 42 points looks bad, but the Cyclone D's 16 TFLs and 7 sacks had OSU off balance most of the day. Add it all up and I actually have some optimism for next week.
Very true, but that’s why it’s been questionable to run RPOs with Kempt and Noland. And the only time we struggled today is when we got restrictive. All three of our QBs have done better when we are aggressive, which only consistently happens when the other team is scoring.Purdy's dual threat skill set probably makes more of the playbook possible and probably makes the OL's job a bit easier. But that’s for another day, and once CMC has more of his guys there’s less pressure on game plans.
Our defense shouldn’t be so feast or famine, but ok st is very good at big plays.
I didn’t see the talent advantage for Ok St the announcers kept referring to. There’s a reason it’s been a shootout for 4 years
First game since I bought my new ISU hat. Maybe I need to wear my hat and you need to wear your socks every game? I mean, I'm wearing more than the hat, but you get the idea.
Can anyone get screen shots of . . .
"Kyle Kempt" (camera zooms in on some random guy . . . )
When they showed our remaining schedule at the end, they listed the final opponent as "Incarnate Wood."![]()
**** that guy. @SouthTulsaPoke has always been an enormous douche.Weird. @SouthTulsaPoke made it seem that they would be the team with the enormous amount of sacks
Nice D
This sideline reporter is not ugly
You must be a real pleasure to watch the game with. One bad series and you are ready to toss them in the dumpster. Fortunately, this team is made of better stuff than you are.Offense 1st Possession:
1st down: Long developing routes, everyone covered. Noland sacked 10 yards.
2nd down: Predictable screen to Jones for 7 yards.
3rd down: Easy pass dropped by Butler.
4th down: Punt.
I'm OK with that one in that situation and field position. Let our freak WR get a chance at those. The danger of a 50/50 ball. The DB undercut our guy.
...and recruiting! This may have looked like an upset to the national audience, but the best team won today. Plain and simple. Freshmen at QB, Center, and MLB playing like 5th year seniors. Its all about coaching.
