OSU was shooting over 50% and our defense has never stopped anybody at the end. MAYBE the best thing is to have the ball with an opportunity to win rather than defend the ball with an opportunity to to go OT?

Doesn't seem like the popular thought on here today, but I've got more confidence putting the ball in the hands of our offense with a chance to win the game instead of hoping our D can stop them. What we did at the end, just doesn't fit with this team.

Just quit the Fred bashing right The HELL now. You people don't even know what kind of coach we have. The man puts together a pretty dang good game plan. Things didn't go our way today. Cheers to next year.

Yeah, the charge call was not good, but this is not on the refs in the slightest. We had it, let it slip away, played a hell of a game to even make it interesting at the end, without our best defender. It was a great season, a lot of bounces that didn't go our way, some that did. Only one team gets to win their last game of the season.
Refs didn't lose the game but it did factor into it. Definitely not intentional but it was a huge call. I'm sure ohio fans would would be complaining the other way too. ISU had too many chances they missed to not take responsibility of the loss.

the fact that we were tied with 2 seconds left after how that game went says a lot about Fred.

True Cyclones should be proud of what this team accomplished this year. Yeah, the ending sucked. A LOT. But it was the careless turnovers and missed bunnies that did us in by the end of the game. We shouldn't have even been in a position to have to come back from that far down, but the team managed to do just that and made it one of the most intense final minutes of a game we've seen yet this March. I feel so bad for the seniors who played so hard to make it this far, knowing that this was it - win or it's over.

Go 'Clones.

Respectfully I disagree. I told my wife on the inbounds that I thought we'd foul to keep them from draining a buzzer-beater. They hit a buzzer-beater and we have no chance to tie or win. We give them 2 and put he ball in our court and I like our chances much better.

It would have been very stupid to allow them to shoot 2 FT's rather than make a shot. Barkley just got done saying that the Charging foul on Clayburn was an absolutely terrible call. The rule states that if the heel is even hovering above the line it is interpreted to be within the arc. Therefore the Clyburn basket should have been good with a FT for Clyburn. Another blown call giving a Charge to an ISU player and the basket is called off while playing a Big Ten team in their own backyard. Deja Vu.

I'm sure as hell not Fred bashing. Love the mayor. I did think we'd foul and we didn't. I thought we should have.

Twitter-verse and Sir Charles all recognizing that Clyburn was a block not a charge!

That's because it was. It wasn't even close. Not only was Craft not set, but he slid in under Clyburn LONG after Clyburn had left the floor. There is no debate even to be had on that call.

Overall, the officiating was fine. But on that crucial call, they screwed us..... again. I've just come to expect that.... and of course a bricklayer drilling a 3 pointer at the buzzer to beat us.

Fouling in that situation would have been almost as stupid as you making this post. Almost.

Whoever started this "we should have fouled" crap is an idiot, quit posting. Maybe we just should have fouled everytime they had the ball.
We got screwed again, Charles Barkley and Greg Anthony just said it on CBS. The story of the season. The big schools get those calls, and next year we will.
