No my life is awesome actually, I would feel sorry for you that you are so upset after a win, but I don't care about you, so I don't.Why would you want to complain? Are you determined to be ******* miserable. Idiot.
Or you could have a basic understanding of the reality of this conference this year and not rip on anyone if a close road loss happens. The usual "any road win in conference" line usually had a couple caveat teams. This year the big 12 doesn't.And if Tech hits that 3 a split second earlier, everyone is on here ripping Prohm a new one. Goes with the territory of getting paid millions to coach big time ball.
We were very clumsy down the stretch, and I thought Babb did some good things for us. We just as easily could have lost that game as win it the way we handled the last few minutes (which it should not have come down to), and I'm going to blame the head coach nearly every time over a student athlete, that's for sure in those situations.
Now we just need to win out and get a 4 seed and it can be a successful season...just saying it would give 4 top 20 wins And big 12 tourney title if we did...aim high
Glad we won but wish they could have made some late free throws to make it easy for them and us fans who had to listen to those idiot announcers longer that we deserved!
Yours is an agenda against Prohm, big difference on the approach.
He has won 5 ******* road games, I will repeat that for you 5 road games.
Either the guy can coach or this team is the luckiest bunch of SOB's ever to throw a ball in a peach basket
That was amazing and intensley stressful. I need a drink.
No, it's because the coach is being paid millions, but NOBODY pays money to come watch the coach. If the players are going to get all the blame, and not the head coach, then they should be the ones making millions since that's who people pay good money to come watch.
Burton, and all the other players, have WAY more too worry about in life than Prohm does. They have school to attend, tests to take, money struggles, uncertain futures to worry about, etc, etc, etc. Prohm is set for life if he loses his job tomorrow.
So yes, if Burton dribbles off his foot, I tend to give him a break. We have no idea what it's like to be in his shoes. If I was his age and trying to play major level basketball, go to school, worry about your future.... all while doing it without your Mom in your life any longer.... then dribbling the ball off your foot is quite understandable from my view.
The fact that the last shot was taken after the buzzer proves that we got some breaks. How Iowa State would it be to lose in Lubbock by a buzzer beater? That right there says we got at least one. no doubt that hitting EVERY free throw would've been key, but it's hard to understand the pressure of the situation without being in it. I think all in all, we shot well from the line, but those shots at the end would've saved about 18 people on here from having minor heart attacks. That's why people literally live and die by the Cyclones. On Chris Williams' instant podcast, he said that ISU "caught some breaks tonight." So, I'm not the only one. I didn't say that caught EVERY break but TTU had at least 3 easy fast break chances that they didn't finish.
Have to come back with a shout out to Solomon. My early post stated he was looking like a raw freshmen. And quite frankly, the first half he did. BUT....he came back tough and was huge down the stretch. Keep working and learning, young man!
I think we learned a few things about this team tonight, although some of it is not new, just a reaffirmation:
Great teams find ways to win. This team is coming to look more and more like a great team.
- This team has great character and finds a way to win, even when things are not going well.
- People used to rag on this team's defense, but the balance this team has on offense and defense is really impressive.
- Monte showed great leadership tonight, what with his second half scoring and his ball control. Gotta watch every minute of him I can, because soon he will only be a memory as a Cyclone, like Niang and Ejim.
- Naz also showed leadership with his tough defense and scoring, plus his demeanor on the court.
- Some people are awful hard on Weiler-Babb. Personally, I am looking forward to him playing a much bigger role next year - and we will need him.
- Matt Ice - every time he scores I think of the awful things said about him in his freshman and sophomore years. Posters were awful; now everyone loves him, but what I really like about this man is he understands that you don't need others loving you, you just need to love yourself. I will miss him next year too.
- Feel sorry for Burton. He had a terrible game tonight, but I expect him to come out like gangbusters next game - hope I am right. He clearly struggles with the mental side of the game, and that has to be hugely frustrating for someone with his talent.
- Finally, I am liking Solomon more each game. Can only imagine what a terror he will be on the court in his junior and senior years.
Oh, and yes, thanks SP for bringing this team together, blending offense and defense. I sure hope you are enjoying your successes, because I know you were really hurting when things were not going so well.
How about Donovan Jackson's D. He has been awesome in the 2nd half of the year.
I'm not talking about complaining after the win, I'm talking in the moment of the situation, I wanted to ***** to my lamp about the crap we were getting called for, but then we won, so I'm happy. In Roadhouse, nobody wins a fight.
In ISU basketball, nobody complains in a road win.

If you have an ISU degree, please mail it back to the registrar with an apology.
