I listened on the radio while making a shopping trip for the first few minutes. John and Eric didn't sound like the team wasn't playing hard. So I used the word "seemed".

I suggest watching the first 8 minutes for yourself...I love listening to John and Eric, but they're never going to call the team out on anything, it's just not their style-and I'm ok with that.

Don't look at the stats. His free throws were worse than Dendy for a bunch of the conference season...

Actually, I'm not. Just a general feel of comfort when Strap is one the line, as opposed to the comedic grin for Dendy.

Dendy, though, has been pretty good (except for the line) these last couple of games. I think he's starting to come around.

I'm hoping their contract includes unlimited amounts of Lipitor.

What a sad game. I hope next time we play CU we have a new coach. No excuse to not have won that game.

Is that coach going to put a uniform on? If not I don't think we will be gaining much. The players lost this one.

Scotty decided not to show on the offensive end. That REALLY hurt. He makes on or two shots and we win.

Our shooting guard position had 2 combined points today I think.

That is a bigger issue to the loss that the FTs IMO....although the FTs certainly didn't help.

So our starting SG had an off night. At least the coach realized this and limited his minutes so he would not be a liability in the game. OH WAIT!! Someone in the room is telling me that he actually played 33 minutes!!!!!!!!!! What the ****. Why would the coach not pull him after he goes like 0 for his first 5?? Oh wait - that same person is telling me that GMac is he coach of ISU. I guess that answers all of my questions and concerns. Great hustle and effort out of our guys.... yay

I can't watch when I'm driving. That's why I was listening. For this shopping trip, I had to leave my couch behind.

Fair enough..it'd just be nice to see 40minutes for once out of this team...to me effort isn't something that should be questioned...and it seems like you have to pat this team on the back when they do play hard instead of just assuming you'll get a solid effort...once again we're stuck with 30-35 minutes of solid effort instead of 40 and another close loss in a winnable game.

I thought our effort in our loss to Texas A&M was about as good as it's been against anyone all year for 40minutes.

I think that you can sum up the season by saying that the ball has to go through the freakin' basket. We are almost always the much superior team but we just don't make shots and the other team does. I think that that buzzer beater 3 at the end of the first half and our brick at the end of the game summed the season up nicely.

Newsflash: We don't have a lot of options on the bench right now.

Please list all of the players on the team who would have been able to take his and DG's places, if we took them both out like you suggest. You may overestimate our depth just a bit.

You have no clue how much effort they put in, nor do any of us.

So coaching does not put a team with a front line that is 6'7", 6'10" and 6'11' to not take advantage of a 4 guard lineup? Did you not see some of the absolutely terrible possessions that we had today? DG dribbling around and lobbing an unsuccessful alley oop after dribbling around for 20 seconds does not indicate that the team is well coached. Letting another guy go off for 30+ and not possibly thinking about doing a box in one or something, just continue to let him dump in baskets without adjusting? Give me a break. We should have easily been able to beat this team.

I'm watching the UGA - UF game... why does it seem that every team actually hits their shots and we never do... must be in my head. UGA already has 3 3s just a couple of minutes in...

Garrett was not the problem today folks...and I don't understand how anyone that watched that game can come away from it thinking he was.

They shoot better than us. CB touches the ball once in the first five minutes. We dink around with missing threes instead of taking everything inside against the short team.

Previously I always felt better after a game vs Nebraska and Colorado. I'm not fooled this time. Although I really really like the adjustment of DG pulling up for those 12 ft jumpers vs going in for the missed layups. Not sure why that took so long to figure out though.

I think that, if it's ok for one of the best coaches in the county to question his team's effort (Roy Williams), it's fine for the Cyclone fans to wonder what kind of effort our vastly underachieving team is putting forth.

This is not a fan/CF problem - the issues lie within the ISU MBB program.
