To me, the play that hurt the most was Brackins throwing up a 3 in the first 10 seconds of the shot clock when we're down by two. I think there was about 1:20 left. That was not the shot we needed there and we had no one in position to rebound it. Against a team like Colorado there is no reason that CB should be outside the free throw line, let alone in position to shoot a 3 pointer. I know that he's trying to show the NBA that he can play a small forward, but he is killing this team with those stupid shots.

I think today was Gilstrap, though. Dendy misses plenty, we all know, but Quez was bricking them over and over and over today.

The last few games where we've shot well, it's been Scotty, Ham, and Brackins. Today, it was Dendy and Gilstrap.

Just because they make some doesn't mean we're not playing. They were just playing gooder. Effort seemed to be there.

Not the first 8 minutes....did you see us getting beat down the court for layups? Did you see how uncontested their first 11shots were? 23points in 8 minutes we gave up, and they weren't slopping anything in. It was all layups and uncontested jumpers within the offense.

I listened on the radio while making a shopping trip for the first few minutes. John and Eric didn't sound like the team wasn't playing hard. So I used the word "seemed".

I wish we would stop switching on screens!!! It kills us!!!

No, what kills us is both people ducking under. If the guy getting screened hedges out, there's no window to shoot. If both guys go under, you give up and uncontested 3.

our team defense stinks. craig brackins is a one-man defensive breakdown.

I dpnt know Gill, CB, Ham, and DG all looked like legit Big 12 players. We are just freaking cursed thats all there is to it.

How is DG a Big 12 level talent??? He played 37 minutes and had 2 assists and 2 turnovers. Call me crazy but shouldn't the starting point guard who plays the ENTIRE game end up with more that 2 assists?? What the crap does DG do for this team?? NOTHING he does absolutely NOTHING!!!!! SC would not start for Drake mono or no mono. We have the two worst starting guards in D1 basketball, plain and simple.

no kool-aid here......... need a new coach and some one who can get Big 12 players

I agree with the new coach thing, although what matters more is being able to coach players to their potential as a TEAM. Just because you have awesome players doesn't mean you'll be good. You have to get them to be good with EACH OTHER.

I'm sure players 1-on-1 are awesome, but things are different when you're actually on a team.

What a sad game. I hope next time we play CU we have a new coach. No excuse to not have won that game.

Not happy with the loss, of course, but to put it in perspective, we have lost against much lesser CU team in Boulder, with much better ISU teams than the one we have now. I did not expect to win today, although it sure would have been nice.

Look over the last few games. Look at who was taking the free throws. Look at the percentage made. You'll see a direct correlation.

If you are implying Dendy, then you also have to include other stuff he did well (rebounds, def...)

Scotty decided not to show on the offensive end. That REALLY hurt. He makes on or two shots and we win.

Our shooting guard position had 2 combined points today I think.

That is a bigger issue to the loss that the FTs IMO....although the FTs certainly didn't help.

In other news, I smashed my first beer can on my head after DG missed the 3. I'm pretty sure I won't be doing that again, as I have a spliting headache right now.

Common, sure you'll do it again. You'll have that opportunity next wed. vs. Missouri.

Rebounds, yes. No one played well defensively. We were brutal all-around defensively.
